they converted us as punishment /ridicule ..again ottomans did not worry about spreading Islam only empire & taxation
if we had it good ..today both of you and all of greece would be reading Albanian
books and mosque on Friday together  Ottomans never forcefully converted. you had it off good bcs ottomans allowed you to settle Kosovo and Macedonia to kill of Serbs.
no ..was the opposite ....while the men were off in ottoman army or jails or hiding in mountains rebelling against the turks .....slavs took up the slack in towns and the fields as workers and thus eventually settling there
also remember albs whether Christian of Moslem were in constant rebellion against turks ..some wins but mostly losses
like whole villages wiped out and then replaced with slavs .....

also need to remember that history for all of Europe with few exceptions has not been the history of ethnicity but of empires, which always had high clerics on their minds when writing....so many types of people were generalized as one in many cases or grouped in as one bcs of religious affiliation ....thats why Albanians differentiate from the rest in the Balkans while maybe 35% (being generous) assimilated /grouped in as greek or slav of sorts
Albanians were never in general good practicing long term Catholics ,Orthodox or Muslims ...we generalize our main
religion as being "Albanian " ....besides being of the ancient land's ,paganism worked best for us as it did for most bcs
of its actual proof of life -the sun,water or soil gave plus we witnessed the mass burning and killing of our pagan ancestors for conversion into a mono -god as Illyrians .....So we lost the pagan gods and with it also
the Illyrian title we had .
we were Christians in general 4-5 centuries before slavs set foot in the Balkans and maybe after the 12th century
before any slav put their heads into into what is now Kosova ....cradle of your supposed civilization ....HAAA
but look who the fanatic religious are today .....
yep greeks and slavs bcs thats what makes up their ethnic cover /blanket-----> religion and not blood

then from that period find me history/writing that has the words "serb"..."Duklja" and even "Zeta" in the same page or book
not from books /writings in the last few centuries
good luck !
also note : that even in serb recent history always describes these area's as "free of Byzantine rule", but dont seem to explain how or why properly ........if they explained it properly it would not have one bit of slavic traces let alone serbian anything

and especially dealing with Montenegro areas ,especially back then...the clans are a mixed good & plenty and thats what divides a good Montenegran from a serb
