Hi guys!
Just came back from a visit in ethnic Albania. Most of the time was spent in Kosova, visiting Prishtina, Mitrovica, Prizren, Peja and Klina. Life was dynamic and the days went on like minutes. While on our way to Albania, we passed through Western Macedonia, stopping in Tetova where I've never been before. From Qafë Thana we entered Albania and went for Kavaja (Mali i Robit).
This time I had the opportunity to visit some new locations I never visited before. I was in Vlora, Saranda, Himara, Gjirokastra, Butrint, Tirana, Durrës, Kavaja, Lezha, Shëngjin and Velipoja. The trip from Kavaja to Saranda was the most memorable because on the way I got to see and experience the powerful Llogora. It was absolutely breathtaking. In its begining you could still see the bay of Vlora (which in itself was amazing with Karaburun and Zvërnec closing in on the island of Sazan) from the mountains. Then it just got fantastic; on one hand you had alpine like nature with mountains covered by powerful trees; on the other hand you got the crystal clear water of the Ioanian. I also swam in the Ioanian ... I have never seen such crystal clear water, magical.
I'll share some pictures with you later on ... to illustrate what I mean.

Is there a reason why you capitalized the first four letters?

The view from Llogara is beautiful but it is scary as hell. Whoever drives there should be extremely careful. The Ionian coast is something to be experienced at least once in your life. You enter Albania through Qafe Thana and didn't visit Pogradec?

Welcome back Donnie, I too envy you so much. I was actually wondering what happened to you? We are all glad you are here again. I (and the others I think) missed you in here. (You are also missed in Serbian forum I guess... ;D) Mimi, of course there is a reason for living in Kosovo and everywhere else I believe except New York! ............................................. ...almost forgot to ask you a very important question. You visited South Albania (from what I read) and would you please enlighten our Greek guys who proclaim that there is an anti-Hellenic feeling in South Albania? I mean, answer us sincerely, did you hear people in there talking in Greek or singing in Greek? Or did you notice any hate feelings against anybody who wanted to speak Greek or any anti-Hellenic feeling whatsoever? I would appreciate your answer since you come directly from the region. I want to believe Greeks would appreciate that too.

Nothing like driving a long it and seeing the shrines of those who werent as fortunate as you to make you at ease... lol
If you are a regular in Albania, its nothing. I cant believe how many times I have seen teenagers in their cars speeding through the winding paths as if its nothing, or encountered buses full of people going down a road you think a coupe could barely fit through...

Seems as a adventure trip there donnie. I came back yesterday after a month trip in Kosovë (Pej, Deqan, Prishtinë, Gjakove and Prizren). On my way back home we stopped for 3 days in Montenegro, Budva. Girls there, its like being in heaven.

Mimi, of course there is a reason for living in Kosovo and everywhere else I believe except New York! Yeah it sure is, you always had something to do or somewhere to go to, the houses were full and you had so many people coming to you, we had great convos, talking about anything and everything. they know a lot, they are smart people they are not totaly behinde, in fact not at all, they are gonna make it, and they are moving on pretty fast, everytime i go there i see some changes. they want to change for the better and become a democratic state and i believe they will, they are making progress, i am happy There isnt any reason to live in NY? you are kiddin right? i am shocked, i have always though of NY as an interesting and a cool place ?and i want to visit it someday. what did you do on the summer then?, anything fun and interesting? if you wanna share?
