Just had some wisdom teeth pulled. Oh my god it hurts. If you ever have to do it if it is not totally necessary let them stay.

I did it once.... and I still remember it. My doctor told me 10 months before that I had to take off one more out of the 3 left..... and I'm still working on it.. I fully understand your feeling. PS. I dont want to make things worse.... but it will need a lot of time to heal the wound.. . Be ready for 1-2 weeks...

Yeah I had to tell my fiance to stop talking to me today because she was making me laugh and it hurts so bad to laugh right now. I ended up having to yell at her because she thought she was funny. I told her stop talking to me and let me be alone. I know your sons pain.

The dentists always say "they have to be pulled"...because they get much money for each tooth from the health insurance. But as long as they dont make problems I dont see a reason to pull them... perastika sou panagiotopoule.

The practice in America is starting to become more and more rare. Now many dentists want you to save your teeth. They still get plenty of cash from the capping procedure(my last one came out to 1000 bucks, luckily I was insured).

I still have all my wisdom teeth. I had plenty of room to where they did not even push other teeth over.
Toskali it may have been cheaper for you to have returned to Albania to get it done. I go to Greece to get my teeth worked on. It is only a small fraction of what it cost in the U.S even when you have insurance and the upside is I am in Greece visiting my family and friends. The quality of work is also much better in Greece than in the U.S. U.S dentist have become assembly lines. They get 3-4 patients in the office all at the same time and they bounce from room to room, thus leading to poor and shabby workmanship and quality. In Greece when your with a dentist you are the only one there and they focus completely on you. I don't say this for patriotic reasons I say this from personal experience. I had the president of the Dental Association of Tennessee someone who worked on all the celebrities in Nashville and ALL his work failed within 2 years and some earlier. I wnet to Greece and got everything fixed and it has been more than 9 years now with absolutely no problems.

My family in Italy does that. I dont really have that option. it costs over 1200 bucks to get a ticket...
Your going to large practices. I have a single dentist who works from his house. he gets a good number of patients daily, but its still very personal. He knows my name, my mothers name and we have conversations. i cant stand large practices where I can hear 3-4 drills as i walk down the hall, I go to people can I know.
But yea, I know what you mean.

Oh man I had to have 2 removed on the left side top and bottom LOL it was horrific the dentist had to really push and pull to get those suckers out and I ended up needing stiches on the bottom one as it left a huge hole.

Had one of mine out a couple of years ago and ended up half paralysed on my face temporarily for a few weeks. Seems to have affected one of my nerves, I don't know ? am fine now ;D Am laughing now, but it sure scared the B - Jesus out me back then. Never heard the dentist moan and groan from straining to get a tooth out before. Perastika sou pana. .

I have a major problem w/ mine....my wisdom teeth sometimes causes me headaches and is pushing the other ones. The only reason why I havnt had it done yet is because they are fused to my jaw bone ! AND they have nerves underneath !! Not to mention i am scared s**ttless of dentists... Oh...and did i mention that here in Greece they give you poor excuses of painkillers ! Panagiote...at least enjoy your vikinins....cause over here the only thing they give you is panadol or some worthless aspirin. For some reason they dont believe in strong narcotics... I see myself going through this procedure in september when everyone gets back...

What happens if you remove one? I mean, how are you going to it? Can you plant a new one?
