Darda is a town in eastern croatia, next to osijek. here's a map taken from google maps on where its located.... Darda is an old settlement, and when the ottoman empire took over this area for 160 years, they built a very long bridge from osijek , crossing over the drava , and over the swamplands up to darda. i think it was called suleijman's bridge. anyways, i'm getting off track here, but yeh,.... i was just wondering if the name of this place called darda has anything to do with the dardanian peoples. could dardanians have possibly settled in panonia from dardania, and named a place after their tribe and old homland in the south ?
