Jeremic: full understanding of Israel for stance of Serbia 27. December 2007. 17:36
Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic has pointed out during the separate talks with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Head of Diplomacy Tsipi Livni that it is necessary to proceed with the talks on the status of Kosmet and preserve the territorial integrity of Serbia. Israeli side has shown exceptional understanding for Serbian stances and affirmed the necessity for talks, said Jeremic, stressing that even in the case of Kosmet Albanians unilaterally and illegally proclaiming independence, Israel will not be among the countries to recognize that, but will seriously consider every following move. In Jerusalem, Jeremic visited the Holocaust Victims Memorial Center Yad Vashem, where he laid wreath and paid respect to millions of Jews killed in WWII, as well as a wreath in the memory of victims of the Jasenovac concentration camp in Croatia. The Head of the Serbian Diplomacy also met with Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem Teophil III.

Israel has so much money and power, to be honest they could break ties with the US now and have no real concerns.

aha so serbia now need israel, let me tell u something Israel is nothing, when US will stop supporting israel, israel will cease to exist in the arab-islam world, it will be a wipe-off the map as Ahmadinijad has said. Israel cannot stop Kosova from becoming independent neither does serbia, over 90% albanian majority land cannot be controlled by minority serbian government.

Israel gets 3 billion dollars a year that it greatly covets. The influx of Jews is wrapping up and very soon many will start to leave as the pressure involved in living in the militaristic state will pay heavily on many of the more moderate members. Not to mention that it reaps greatly from the hundreds of US based business that sponsor it(McDonalds), along with many other nations. Russia's historical pro-Arab stance also doesnt make it a very likely ally, and Europe at best shrugs its shoulders towards, at worst it has a great distaste for the state. neither one is likely to carry Israel's shoulders. If Iran gets a Nuclear Weapon, it will crush a big part of Israel dominance and not long after that it will be forced into concessions.
Israel has great minds, which brings it alot, but even thats not enough. Nobody will wipe out Israel, but that doesnt mean that it can continue with the same position it wields today, without US support.
On top of that, Israel would not be so concerned with its America lobby if the US support was not so necessary. In case of the utterly stupid mistake of breaking ties with America, a big wave of anti-Israeli/Jewish feeling would explode in America and among many of its victims would be the Jewish lobby's, which help Israel exist.

Israel has so much money and power, to be honest they could break ties with the US now and have no real concerns. The problem with that is Israel is a nation of equally bizness smart Jews with the lowest birthrate in the world. No concerns you say? Israel cannot live without the markets in the US and rest of the world to sell its Chatchkas. Israelis know the difference between painted gold and real gold...however, many in the US and EU do not. The problem with your premise is, Israel does not have the birthrate to keep its nation going at the economic status it attained with US aid and its average C intelligent markets.
