My sleep pattern is totally out of whack because of the Australian Open, but it is worth it!
Never has a Serb won a Grand Slam. We have two chances to change that with Ana and Nole.

You mean a Serbian citizen has never won a Grand Slam. But a Serb has won, Canadian citizen Daniel Nestor (born Danijel Nestoroviæ in Beograd) won the mixed doubles at the Australian Open last year. He has also won the doubles men's Australian Open in 2002, the 2004 U.S. open mens doubles, and the 2007 French open mens doubles. It's incorrect to say a Serb citizen has never won. Zimonjic won the mixed doubles grand slams in Australia in 2004 & in Fteance in 2006.

I watched the match last night and have never seen Federer pulled apart like that before. Roger apparantly doesn't have a coach at this point in time. It shows.

I agree with you there Fends, l find Federer playing somewhat weird (not himself). As a good a player as Roger is, he ha become arogant and is believing everything they write about him. He hasn't had a coach in a while, so expect him to hire one soon. On the match, yes, he made many unforced errors. He seemed a split second behind the play. Not taking anything away from Novak as he played a brilliant game and exploited Rogers weakness at every opportunity, as he should. Tsonga also played well by demolishing Nadal. That match was unbelievable. After watching Nadal carefully, his forehand is very one dimensional, doesn't penetrate much and Tsonga is athletic. This should be a ripping final but I beleive that Novak should win because of experience and Novaks ground strokes are far more penetrating, as well as his serves. I expect Tsonga to crack in the second set.

Hey Fends, l hope his not listening to Jim Couriers comments....its like he gets sexually arosed when he commentates a Federer match. I somewhat feel Fed X has gotten abit above himself, l suppose all No.1's have been victim to it....but its not as bad as george clooneys smugness. "Tsonga also played well by demolishing Nadal. That match was unbelievable. After watching Nadal carefully, his forehand is very one dimensional, doesn't penetrate much and Tsonga is athletic." Tsonga has come out of nowhere ......Nadal is best suited for clay, its as simple as that.

Jeez when did tennis players become such assholes?
Federer's like "I don't care, really" when asked if he's going to watch the finals or who he'd like to see win.
Ivanovic has such dead handshakes after she wins or loses... I was expecting hugs and kisses from the Sharapova match.

Antho, who likes to lose exactly? I'm a very competitive person myself, and after playing organized sports I'll have a hard time shaking someones hand, let alone doing it with a smile on my face. Federer gets interviewed 15 minutes after losing a match and perhaps facing the beginning of the end of his career. The question was stupid to begin with, and you can't expect him to be in jovial spirits so soon after. It's much easier being a gracious winner than a gracious loser, that's for sure.
Novi, Tsonga showed a lot of potential as a junior, then again so did Tipsarevic. For whatever reason, some players have trouble fulfilling their potential. Tsonga's has been hampered by injuries for years, while Tipsarevic is supposed to be quite the party boy in Belgrade.

I didn't know this. What were Tsonga's injuries?

Tsonga's has been hampered by injuries for years, while Tipsarevic is supposed to be quite the party boy in Belgrade." I didn't know this. What were Tsonga's injuries? From Wiki Early career Tsonga had a successful junior career, winning the U.S. Open Juniors title in 2003 by defeating Marcos Baghdatis in the final, and also reached the semi-final stage of the other three Grand Slam events. After turning pro in 2004, Tsonga suffered a string of injuries beginning in late 2004 with a herniated disc that caused him to be out of action until March 2005. Then came two right shoulder injuries later in 2005, back and abdominal ailments from October 2005 to February 2006, and the reinjuring of an abdominal injury at the end of 2006. In all, he only played 8 tournaments over that span of years. [5]
