I don't think this is the best example you could come up with. Prostitution and drugs exist everywhere and when they are legal, such as in the case with Holland, they can be better controlled and somehow work for the profit of the state, not just for the profit of pimps and dealers. So taking easily an open insult and an artistic misunderstanding of massive poor taste proportions is a sign that we are now in the 21st century? Great... This has nothing to do if legalising prostitution/drugs/weapons or other fancy things is right or not, its about making fun of it and not hiding in some hole out of some sense of shame. On the other hand you are wasting your energy having a go at me. Im merely here for the pure amusement of browsing in this forum while drinking my tea/caffee, as what actually happens to(and with) Bulgaria concerns me as much as, say, the conflict in Gaza.

So taking easily an open insult and an artistic misunderstanding of massive poor taste proportions is a sign that we are now in the 21st century? Great... You don't get what this is about. It is about what countries think of other countries hence the insults and stereotypes; and it is a message to show that if Europe really is to be united, this is what we need to overcome. He is just the messenger of what people think about each other, so don't blame him. And anyway all the artwork is saying about Bulgaria, is that in Bulgaria there are lots of Turkish toilets. It isn't saying Bulgaria = toilet as you try and imply. The fact that you have protested violently against an artwork, shows that you do not understand freedom of expression, and you should think twice about being in the EU. But the over-riding message of the EU is that it is still divided in its constituent and it must be pieced together. But in order for that to happen we must overcome the prejudices which are on display here. The fact that people still cry and get nationalistic so easily, shows that EU is still very much fractional.

And the artwork is showing neon lights too.. lots of turkish toilets and neon lights - connected. Don't get the message, that's all. No one protested except Bulgaria, where these toilets are actually in plenty!.. So now Bulgaria is covered with a black curtain..

Nice ... coming from a Bulgarian Why do you try to defend an obvious insult toward my country by twisting and turning and giving various interpretations? Let me ask you this: if Romania was presented as a gypsy woman selling babies, what would be your reaction?

It's hard for you to understand.. ok. You can never be satisfied, no matter what ppl write. You see yourself as knowing it all, judgeing ppl.. a typical feature for BG. Remember, everyone may have own views and not neccessarily those of yours. P.S. "Fvck off, you don't live in Bulgaria" would be your answer if i.e. bb681 said he cares or made some other comments.

I didn't know you had fortune-telling abilities. I am even considering the idea of authorizing you to post on my behalf since you are well aware what I am to say...

He got it right. This is your strongest argument against me. You keep trying to disqualify my opinion due to my foreign residence. You are lame.

I might be lame but I still have the descency to attack you, not your family. I told you, you are not a man, the way you attack resembles that of an old tootless trollop.

For the mere fun of it(or maybe not), this is turning into complete mockery. Now Im not too bothered about where my bulgarian consciousness stands but I do get insulted when this gets related to my standing as an individual(it happens for second time, just in this thread). Yep, money is something nice to have but FYI I have had my fair share of non-profit making activities(i.e. voluntary work), as well as having been a PCSO in my local area for over a year. Sure Im not Mother Theressa but its something that few people can match in terms of helping their community so shove your doom and gloom extrapolations of my life you know where. Rant over!

Is it? You civilized, non-passionate person. You are cool man. Cool and civilized.
I am sorry for you. You are real cosmopolitan - citizen of the world.
You may be whoever you want man! I don't care at all who or what you are. I told you. I ask you now again - forget that you are Bulgarian. Just don't use the language, the name - be damn Canadian, Americos or whatever - please don't be Bulgarian. Its a shame for you to be called one - and its shame for us that you were born such.

You could spare us the abbreviations, we are not supposed to know the names of all organizations in England. But this is not what I wanted to ask you. My question is: would you do the same thing if you were in Bulgaria?

"Is it? You civilized, non-passionate person. You are cool man. Cool and civilized."
Nothing to do with being civilized or not...Im just talking about the context of the whole thread. If you are so irritated by something I may say and think that I should forget,be forgotten etc, its only beyond me about why dont you just ignore me at first place instead of turning me into the most miserable creature in existance?(though quite frankly I also dont know why Im responding to you again...)
"My question is: would you do the same thing if you were in Bulgaria? "
Maybe...maybe not. Circumstances would of course be different.Besides, despite money not being in the centre of them, people still do such activities for certain rewards in mind(e.g. social respect, directly improving life for close people, better future career prospects etc). You dont just do that with the vague idea for "the good of the nation and human kind", be that Bulgaria,England or some other place.

Just because you live in Bulgaria does not make you better than anyone else. It just means you have no way of emigrating. Deal with it and spare us the hallow patriotism.
