No, među njima nema Disneyevih hitova. No, kablovska televizija, pogotovo kanal "Hepi televizija", omogućava im da gledaju primjerice "Tomicu i drugare" umjesto "Tomice i prijatelja". www.nacional.hr/clanak/52419/srbi-se-zgrazaju-jer-im-djeca-slusaju-hrvatske-crtice

This is an interesting article ... especially the part where its stated that children have the ability to pick up words from cartoons. A few years ago Serbian politicians and intellectuals from BiH warned that the Croatian Language was penetrating the Serbian one with serbs picking words up from Croatian and incorporating them into everyday life. This was of course due to the Croatian HRT tv station being available across BiH and part of Serbia. This phenomenon is most evident in Banja Luka. Serbs there use so many Croatian words and phrases that its not funny.
I even remember they quoted a Bosniak lady who lived in an area which was covered by only the HRT signal, saying that her children were using the word 'tisuca', and 'Bog' as a way of expressing themselves.

Interesting cikola, because ususally the persons in BIH that keep the language were only Croats themselves.

I find it amusing that the people who know least about the language make the most fun of it.
Zdrakoplov has been used since the invention of aviation, and even Serbs use it but say "Vazduhplov." Srpsko vazduhplovstvo, kuzis?
Secondly, names of the month are used similarly throughout Eastern Europe. Peoples such as the Czechs, Poles and Ukrainians all share similar named months like "listopad." It's Slavic, unlike October which is derived from outside influence, Latin. And no, the world doesn't say October. It is found where Latin had influence in a language. But with that rationale, the world celebrates Christmas on Dec. 25, and the New Year on Jan. 1. Why don't Serbs do the same? Same dumb argument.
Croats have changed their language less than you think, and quite obviously, know. Kat has never been sprat, kut-ugao, otok-ostrvo, nogomet-fudbal, etc. Some people seem to make a big deal which is quite understandable when considering the numerous complexes found in our region.

On November 1, 1928, Mustafa Kemal introduced the Turkish alphabet as a replacement for Arabic script and as a solution to the literacy problem. Literate citizens of the country comprised as little as 10% of the population at the time. Dewey noted that learning how to read and write in Turkish with Arabic script took roughly three years with rather strenuous methods at the elementary level.[27] They used the Ottoman Language written in Arabic script with Arabic and Persian loan vocabulary. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustafa_Kemal_Atat%C3%BCrkMustafa Kemal personally dealt with the translation of scientific terminology into Turkish.[48] He wanted the Turkish language reform to be methodologically based. Any attempt to "cleanse" the Turkish language of foreign influence without modeling the integral structure of the language was inherently wrong to him. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustafa_Kemal_Atat%C3%BCrkPS: Sada ne kazem da ono sto je HDZ uradio je istog ili pak slicnog intenziteta kao to je Ataturk uradio ali rekao sam da posjeca.
