Skenderbeg was a Serbian-Greek (half/half) hero who fought the Turks.
A fun fact, the last Byzantine Emperor was also half Serbian half Greek.

Opening polls is stupid, everybody always highjacks them. And Srbodan, if you want to debate about his origins your welcome to open a topic in the Alb forum...

Now here comes the mother of all surveys with only 18% of those it is intended for being the actual voters. Results must be impeccable.

The answer is to write it in a native language and in an alphabet that couldnt be applied to any translator system, so latin letters with Greek or unorthodox writing style with Serbo-Croat.
But either way, we Albs in particular can always highjack them since we are the only ones in these forums who straddle all these languages. ;D

Skenderbeg was half Serbian half Greek? based on waht logic? Your forged Orthodox "brotherhood" which exists only because of your common enemy?

so tsompanos in no way u would vote bulgaria, because what? we ravelled alot? or we are "stealing" your thracian heritage? i think nowadays its very possible for Bulgaria to win such a poll. Lately we have had great relations with the greeks, most Bulgarians do like the Greeks, greek beaches and music. I think greeks like bulgarians too. i would like to see the votes of the real greeks, not other members to see what the result really looks like.

I believe Ioan it has to do with the place you're from. For example, me as a Macedonian and only 2 hours from the borders, I feel closer and more warm to my Bulgarian neighborhs. It may be the fact that I've been in Bulgaria many times.. even just for a 1 hour frappe in Santanski. Also, I see continously Bulgarians in Tsimiski street in Thessaloniki and in Halkidiki every weekend all the year long. So... for me Bulgaria is something familiar. For an Athenean or Peloponisian.. may be its because they dont have that familiarity Northeners have with you. The distance with the borders may play some role...

Im from Kastoria and cant say that I feel in any way familiar with the skopjans or the albanians. Albs dont want to be associated with Greeks anyways. But i have a questions. If Skopijans are basically Bulgaro-Serbs. Shouldn't they be your "orthodox brothers"?

That was my grandfather, my grandmother was native Macedonian. Anyway, Kastoria has always been a Greek speaking place, albanian or bulgarian has nothing lost there. Thus any kind of Greeks are welcomed, if from Athens, Pontus or Smyrna.

Servous "If Skopijans are basically Bulgaro-Serbs. Shouldn't they be your "orthodox brothers"?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First of all I dont have "orthodox brothers". I have "similar way of living/behaving/thinking brothers". It happens and Serbians and Bulgarians have more similarities in their way of living than the ones of Muslim religion. As it seems religion affects the way of living/behaving etc. and I feel more confortable in a beach bar drinking shots and looking for one-night stand and sharing a girl with a Serbian or Bulgarian friend than with an Albanian Muslim friend lets say. The Muslim will not drind and disaprooves alcohol and one-night stands. Let alone threesomes... So.. its not about orthodoxy. Its about feeling comfortable. About the Fyromian you're right. Before their stubidity hit top, I felt the same like they were Bulgarians. Its true they're more cool in their everyday life than others. Unfortunately.. now their minds are under attack and that affects their personalities and their feelings. Now they're not cool and they hate too much. In addition, they make me hate too. I'm sure if this thing ever comes to an end and they cool down.. (at least the next generations since this one is lost for good thanks to Gruevski & Co.).. we will feel the same for them too. Its a matter of time I believe. Its like Germans back in Nazi era and Germans today. Two different behaviors. It needs time.

Its about feeling comfortable. basilmacedon you miss the best part of religion ;D The majority of Albanians today are either atheists or agnostics. According to an official US Government Report [1]: "No reliable data were available on active participation in formal religious services, but estimates ranged from 25 to 40 percent.," leaving 60 to 75 percent of the population non-religious (or, at least, not practicing a religion in public).[2][3][4] The country does not have a history of religious extremism and takes pride in the harmony that exists across religious traditions and practices. Religious pragmatism continued as a distinctive trait of the society and interreligious marriage has been very common throughout the centuries, in some places even the rule. There is a strong unifying cultural identity, where Muslims and Christians see themselves as Albanian before anything else. This has been solidified historically by the common experience of struggling to protect their culture in the face of various outside conquerors. A Northern Albanian intellectual and poet, Pashko Vasa (1825-1892), made the trenchant remark, later co-opted by the totalitarian state, that "Churches and mosques you shall not heed / The religion of Albanians is Albanism" (Gheg Albanian: "Mos shikoni kisha e xhamia / Feja e shqyptarit âsht shqyptaria").

I dont think the majority of Albanians give a shit what Greeks think about them so its not necessary to explain about our Atheism/Agnostism
btw, Vasil/Vaskë ur reasoning for chosing friends sounds typically Gayreek. i think u just embarrased Serbs and Bulgarians...i dont think ANY straight man (Serb, Albanian, or Bulgarian) choses thier friends because they want to have threesomes with them. lol
Fail.
