Yep, so me and my bro actually..we figure we can find something decent for 80,000KM. Maybe in the future get someone to rent it out for cheap. If its a Bosniak renting it anyways. btw..i was always curious..how come in BIH there is so many apartments to BUY? but here in the west, you don't see that. I don't think i have EVER seen an apartment to BUY, its always for rent.

There are condos types(which is similar)..which are very very expensive..as much as a townhome would be..but no real apartments. We have a home here that we "OWN", so will use a part of that. And australia, aside from the prices i'm sure, is not where i want to live eventually lol

And actually, its a pretty wise investment. In the next 10-15yrs, as development continues, houses, apartments, everything, will get much more expensive. Meaning, if you buy in within the next couple of years..you can make some money of your initial investment if you ever decide to sell.

^ It has leveled out, and I would assume the same in most developed countries. There is no way we will have ten more years of this crazy growth and expense in housing because really people won't be able to buy or rent at all. It will even go down in some cases.

Well, real-estate appreciation is a pretty local thing. Like I wouldn't expect much difference in 90% of BIH property,(its small towns/villages that wont dramatically change) but I think there is probably room for places like Sarajevo and BL to go up. Especially since I would expect much of the diaspora to go back to bigger ciities if they decide to go back.(that is where the jobs are, etc)

Props bro, seriously. I wish you luck, this indeed is the best period to buy houses if you have the money.

Unless Sarajevo becomes a district and all the cheep apartments in the temporarily occupied parts of the city become available to non-serbs. I guess you will have to trust your hero Tihic on this one ;D

Good Luck with your purchase..... I noticed recently the leveling of home prices in Podgorica, and actually dropping due to inflated prices and NO CREDIT LOANS!

Props bro, seriously. I wish you luck, this indeed is the best period to buy houses if you have the money. thanks fazla. I'm excited about it. We actually already have land there (obviously technically my dad), my uncle has been "holding" it so to say, he even wanted to build something for us, but my dad was like "ja se nikad necu vratiti..ne treba mi to"..so he kinda left it on those terms. But when we have a visit, will talk more with the uncle... would like to hold on to that as well since those are my roots. They have a house there as well and every summer they are there for most of their time.

Why don't you go back to your hometown instead of building houses around Sarajevo?

Why don't you go back to your hometown instead of building houses around Sarajevo? Well, as I said, because I am not 100% sure what the deal will be with our land. As I said, its technically my dad's land, he has no interest in it, and I don't know enough about the re-claiming process..I've heard different things so its confusing. So while we have land there, I've always considered that the only sure way is if I just outright buy a place of my own.

^^^Good plan and way of thinking, you really don't want anything to do with your families stuff anyway. Go your own way, at least you will know where you stand re regulations and the like.
