Kosovo president: “I am not ashamed at all” by Serb plight Kosovo’s ethnic Albanian President Fatmir Sejdiu said he felt no shame over the plight of the Serbian community.
(KosovoCompromise Staff) Thursday, August 14, 2008 "I don't feel ashamed at all," Sejdiu said.
"Kosovo has emerged from a big trauma, so time and engagement on the part of all citizens are necessary to overcome fears and to stop negation of development process. There is also a need for Serbian citizens to become more courageous," Sejdiu said.
"The time will come when Kosovo won't tolerate any dualism and extra-institutional forms which create illusions for some citizens, and cause problems in state institutions and in law-enforcement," he added, referring to the establishment of local Serbian parallel structures.
Sejdiu said most of the practical problems Kosovo Serbs faced were caused by "part of the citizens who remain hostages to the old approach".

What did Sejdiu do that is comparable with Milosevic's repression? He is a KLA supporter and lacky thus endorsing their murderous ways.

No matter how murderous they were, the Serbs were 10x worse... Well, you have little to no proof of that.

I think that was a very innapropriate question to be asked by a jorunalist. Very unprofessional and just plainly shows their nationalism and hatred against Albanians. Why has Sejdiu got to be ashamed. I will tell all Serbs one thing... I wish we had the same rights in Serbia as Serbs get now in Kosovo. Albanians block a road... the police cannot wait to go and destroy their skulls... When its Serbs protesting, its a different story. I think it is very unfair for Serbs to be unrealistic when actually Fatmir Sejdiu has done a lot for Serb rights and the return of Serbs from Serbia. Very sad indeed. People of that mind should grow up, They are very narrow minded and have never expirienced living in Kosovo. I know Serbs in Prishtina walk freely and interact with Albanians... One even talked to me on directions. He had nothing to fear. Total lies. I get angry at stuff like this.

Obviously Albanians and Muslims (anti serb) will disagree with this article. Serbs and other anti albanians/muslims will absolutely agree with it. The comments on this thread are no surprise to anyone. Deal with it.

Karabin, You do realise there is more than one religion amongst Albanians don't you? ... Or maybe you're just being a very narrowminded person. Grow up.

And funny you should say that about the homes since the Serbs that kicked me out at gunpoint still live in mine. Thats the reality on both sides, Bosniaks who were from RS have Serbs living in theirs and Serbs from Federation have Croats an Bosniaks in theirs. Although the number of towns who were majority Bosniak and now have almost none, is higher then the amount of towns that were majority serb and now have none. I looked it up, town by town

Its a different story because the International comunity will not allow the cracking of Serb Skulls you must know that most Albanians would love to crack the skulls of the Northern Serbs and would gleefuly do it if given the green light. Nothing different here at all except big brother.

I looked it up, town by town Serbs go through a slightly different, more insane experience then either Muslims or Croats. For people and reporters in the federation blame everything on RS and Serbs in general. That doesn't happen across the border in RS. So while Muslims have no homes like Serbs... unlike Muslims, Serbs are constantly told that they're existence is illegal and evil. Oh and there are more Serb refugees from the federation then there are Muslim refugees from RS.
