Jeremic: If the EU conditions Serbia’s membership with Kosovo recognition – we will reject it In the event that the European Union should ever set the condition to Serbia to recognize the independence of Kosovo, the answer of the Serbian government will be negative, Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said in an interview with BBC.
(KosovoCompromise Staff) Friday, August 01, 2008 Jeremic said that he does not expect the EU will ever set this as a condition to Serbia for its admission, because that requires a consensus which will not be reached.
"Even if such a condition were set, the answer would be negative", he said.
"Serbia will continue to defend Kosovo. It will use all diplomatic, legal and political means available to a sovereign and independent state to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity", Serbia's Foreign Minister underlined.

Well you will never get Kosovo back thats for sure, you can in any case not do nothing so you might as well recognize us and enter the EU for your own good.

How long is that "never"? 10,20,30.......100...200.....500....600.....1000 years? How long can you say? Off course you can say but you can not guarantee it. Or you have some extranatural power and you can see it in far future that Kosovo i Metohija will never be Serbian?

Honestly, how does Serbia plan to get Kosovo back via diplomatic solutions? Can someone paint a picture for me because the only way I see it going back to Serbia is by force and another war.
I am genuinely interested.

This is my guess,
firstly stopping or delaying any more recognitions, then if the court finds that the declaration was indeed illegal it will further stall recognitions while this is happening the Serbian institutions are getting stronger in Northern Mitrovica..... Meanwhile the UN and EU will further fracture and more pressure will be brought on the States that have recognized Kosovo.

I would be fine with Serbia joining EU if it signs under an agreement where it will not use veto or try to get anyone to veto kosovo from joining it as well.
But this cant work since when its time for Kosovo to join EU and that is most likely to happend after Sebia joins - And EU members must recognize eachother.

We all including the Albanians know that this whole kosovo mumo jumbo won't fly. Surely for the time being whilst you have the USA draining you for some interest you can have those 5 minutes of your fake glory.
Face it guys, this whole self proclaimed independence can only cause further instability in the region and we all know it. Look how many problems this has now created in terms of the EU and the UN. Kosovo very well knows that it will never become a UN state not to mention EU. So the only one keeping this mess afloat is the USA for some of their own interests.
We all by now know that the western economy is falling whilst the Russian and Asian economies are growing. Once we reach that tipping point we all know what will happen to Kosovo.
Clock is ticking people and you all know it.

^ thats basically it. I'm more worried for the Albanians in the long run....... why......because when the US eventually 'burns the bridge', they will expose the Albanians for who they are as criminal gangsters involved in all sinful deeds known to man!.......this will not go down in the world community well.l

Clock is ticking?
Are you aware of the Albanian birthrate? - And Serbias birthrate? Are you aware of that Albania is in NATO? - And NATOs stance in this?
One of many things to think about when you start pooping from the mouth. The Albanian is rapidly growing stronger. Dont stand in the way, we dont want shit. We want whats ours and we will get it. Stand aside or be crushed. Its that easy.

I can only pray for the Albanian Ottoman leftovers to one day be gone. Who the f are they to threaten anybody. Bitches cant even fight their own wars. It is offensive to me as an American when they talk big but they are Americas bitches. You know it is like the owner of a dog that wont shut the fuck up you just gotta kick it sometimes. And if it bites you shoot it. Simple as that. I am going to go lie on my sofa now too.

Something about recognition of Cyprus and the conflict between Greece and Turkey? Holy crap I speak Serbian!!!! What a nightmare it would be for Albanians if Serbia once again assumes control of Kosovo. Boy, the Albanian tune will certainly change then.

I wrote (as an answer to his question:how does Serbia plan to get Kosovo back via diplomatic solutions? ) : Try to think about Cyprus nad cypriot Greeks and Turks. Soon it will be one country (most probably )and all that they achieved without waging a war.

Sh1, whats the deal with Kipar? Are the Brits giving up their share of the Island? Who's going to have the control, Turks or Greeks (or both)?

The Island will be partitioned. The Turkish entity is too far gone now to end the division. On top of that, allowing The Greek Cypriots into the EU completely alienated the other side. Its pretty much finished, Cyprus will remain divided. Especially since the Greeks voted down the Annan plan....
