Hague charges K. Albanians with witness intimidation 25 April 2008 | 19:39 | Source: B92 THE HAGUE -- The Hague Tribunal has issued indictments against two Kosovo Albanians for intimidating a witness in the Haradinaj trial.
The pair have been identified as former Kosovo Minister of Culture Astrit Haracija, and the Priština daily Bota Sot editor Bajrush Morina.
The indictment, signed by UN war crimes court's Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz, says that on Haracija's orders, Morina "on several occasions persuaded a protected witness not to testify against Haradinaj".
Another count of the indictment charges them with contempt of court.
Haracija, who was one of the founders of a committee to defend Ramush Haradinaj, used Kosovo's Ministry of Culture funds for this purpose, the Hague prosecution says.
The witness in question testified in the trial despite the attempts to intimidate him.
Haradinaj, a former KLA warlord and one of Kosovo's post-1999 prime ministers, was recently acquitted by the Hague of all charges, which included murders, torture and rapes he allegedly committed in the province in 1998.
The Hague ruling mentioned witness intimidation as one of the significant features of the trial.

^ I'm surprised that there are Albanians willing to testify against this mad man.....the criminal culture is enough to scare people away, especially Ramush's band of 'friends'.

The entire Pristina parliament is full of crooks and corrupt people. It will never amount to anything.

Won't take long, give it another 6 months when Pristina realise that the UN will have nothing to do with them and their situation hasn't improved from where they are now. It will be total chaos then. Its brewing and on the cards to implode big time, sucking in KFOR at the same time.
