Am watching Obama at the opening ceremony of the NATO talks. I was hoping he'd boycott it; (In my dreams) but watching him talk about anything is fantastic!
Anyways am in boring Sydney again. Who wants to come say hi??? :-)

Obama is very charismatic. However, I think he promises things that he will not be able to keep. Today is just a generic Q&A, no real answers are given.

^Well most pollies don't deliver like most men in general don't deliver their promises. It's a man thing :-) But seriously, he knows he can't do it alone, so he is asking for the world to help him. He know it's a tough task and I don't think he will ever fail for promising too much because he hasn't done so...yet. If he does, I'll forgive him; gota love his black booty :-)

bas zbog tih capitalista si tu gdje jesi.. tako zacepi.. Really? Because in Capitalism at least those who are corrupt and/or stupid quickly loose all their economic, political and social power unlike in Socialism where they would get a position in government. If Generalissimo Bush and Premier Obama had let the banks die then hundreds of thousands of people around the world wouldn't have to pay back their home loans and there wouldn't be a housing crisis. If Generalissimo Bush and Premier Obama had let the companies die then smaller companies who have followed the rules would be able to prosper but right now they're being held back because some idiots are giving their crooked competitors billions of dollars. During an economic crisis, the government is not the solution to the problem but the problem itself.

So u think USA works just fine with it's Capitalism? It doesnt have to be this or that.. Look at sweden. They have a mix between them two. Not pure capitalism but not pure socialism.. And it works somewhat good.

You are referring to social systems like universal health care, free education, etc. Socialism in terms of economy is called a command economy, that is when the state owns all property. There is nothing wrong with social programs, but as soon as it enters the fundamentals of an economy, it seizes to function. I think you are confusing semantics.

I am refering to the system as whole, not just one part as economy.

Well, that's not correct then. Sweden has a capitalist economy.

Well, that's not correct then. Sweden has a capitalist economy. hmm.. What ive heard from every politican is that they always are saying that they are glad that they dont have a pure system of this or that, and that they see the need for harmony in the system.. Nothing i can proove, just what ive heard.. Offcourse its more capitalist than socialist, but its now like USA

So u think USA works just fine with it's Capitalism? It doesnt have to be this or that.. Look at sweden. They have a mix between them two. Not pure capitalism but not pure socialism.. And it works somewhat good. The bank and company bailouts certainly weren’t Capitalist. What the USA and other government are doing is something more akin to Military Socialism (Japan during WW2). Regardless, if you compare the USA with the EU, you’d see that the USA is much more prosperous. Enough so that they can spend trillions of dollars on military contracts and expeditions which produce no revenue for the government yet still stay economically afloat for 3 or so decades. Which EU state can do that? But in the end the reason why the economic crisis spilled into other countries was because of taxation, globalization and free trade agreements. If every government on the planet was Protectionist, didn’t tax it’s citizens and had no firm on it’s soil which was controlled by foreign nationals then there wouldn’t be a problem or at least the problem would resolve itself quickly. Taxation is only used to keep the poor even poorer and small/family businesses down. Free trade only benefits the companies big enough to outsource/export jobs to some godforsaken country in the middle of nowhere. Having foreign owned firms on one’s soil means that the person who owns the firms doesn’t care about the local country or the local people.
