BiH Presidency Chair Haris Silajdzic visited the Una – Sana Canton on the occasion of 16th anniversary of formation of BiH Army, Silajdzic’s Cabinet announced, in a reaction to media allegations that he was not present at the central manifestation of marking the anniversary.
The announcement states that BiH Presidency’s Press Service made an announcement and in accordance to the procedures, submitted it to all the media. The announcement clearly defined all the protocol activities of the Chair of BiH Presidency, related to marking of the anniversary.
BiH Defence Minister Selmo Cikotic had been informed on Silajdzic’s activities, as well as about the fact that Silajdzic will not be able to attend the central manifestation which took place in Sarajevo, at the Rajlovac Military Base. Minister Cikotic was authorized to, on behalf of BiH Presidency Chair, greet the participants of the manifestation and state the reasons of Silajdzic’s absence.
Reaction of BiH Association to Preserve Liberation War Heritage was especially surprising, keeping in mind, the announcement states, that Silajdzic visited the Kovaci veteran cemetery together with representatives of this Association and placed wreaths on April 8.
BiH Army fought for sovereign, whole and independent BiH; patriots had died all over this country, in both Bihac and Sarajevo. In that sense, it is completely justified that marking of the 16th anniversary can and should take place in all locations where freedom of BiH was defended, Silajdzic’s Cabinet announced.
