To rate how much your policy is depended on them. Check this now: Turkey, Bulgaria, Albania, Fyrom against Greece. Could this happen?

As stupid, how stupid? We are not talking about war here. Sanctions. Would u have any problem if merchandising passed from Turkey to Bulgaria instead of Greece? If the order is given from Americans lets say.

Yes, because Bulgarians today see Greece as friend and would never support such rediculous decicion. And of course will not support it. Actually we are bound to help Greece (and Romania) more now, because we are in EU and in NATO together. Plus no EU country would support such a "plan".

Ok if Turkey just decides to support that "plan" what can u (Bulgaria) do to support Greece? U'll have also the pressure of how many turks again in Bulgaria?

imo USA is simply catching up to the rest of the worlds economy as a whole ... I can vouch that life has gotten very expensive in the last 2 years ....let alone 5 & 10 years ago and beyond ... I blame Greed & corruption en mass.... in 1968 my dad would send me to pay the monthly gas & electric bill of our home ..both added up to $15 -$20 today ....just my tv cable bill is $150 time to cancel it

"China will displace them in the next 100 years. Maximum. The more important it is to strengthen a united Europe, we Europeans must stick together to have the balance...
I dont want to be subordinate to some Chink superpower..."
Absoulety correct, l would prefer Europeans than Chinese, but how can l be in favor of this EU empire if they don't respect certain elements within it.

Hearing to ppl from Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece i can say one thing: On basic axioms of human logic we all seem to agree. The only paraphony in balkans are the albies. Those guys are always 100 years behind in spirit.

Let me guess while no one can answer me. In Albania Greece has not competion at all if we talk about economy. We can just tax greek companies, boycott greek products etc. In the next year we are expecting an agreement regarding visas with EU. So we got providence too about alb emigrants. They can go anywhere else.
Expanding north to Bulgaria; Greece will have so much more competition from your own companies. And of course bulgarians and romanians wont like that.
All the merchandise will pass through Bulgaria, and of course u will like that. And if alb will offer to invest in our country replacing the greeks o yeah...u will like it too. So the "plan" is for your interest.
Now, would u do anything for love? And if we are talking about “greek” love, somebody gets screwed in the a$$.
BUT!! I truly, madly, deeply don’t want that to happen. I just want these greek guys to recognize Kosova. How hard can this be?
@ Pagane, no man. Im just a spanker of them who try to doubt my theories. Now go back at my first post and try to laugh again. @ Pyrros, light a candle for us albs IN THE CHURCH will u?

^ Julius, Kosovo momentum is starting to slow and the recognitions are starting to dry up. The US was so sure they were going to get all these recognitions from the Islamic nations.....it backfired. Remember Thaci, he was so confident that 100 + recognitions was going to immediately happen on 17th Feb, now you have the US running around the world trying to get an extra recognition here and there.

Julius... really now.. I think you overestimate US. Ok.. its a big power... but big powers fail too.. Russia in Aphganistan. US in Vietnam etc etc See them in Iraq. Iraqis never accepted the agenda of Americans. Americans are trapped there... and die day by day. See them with Israel. They support Israel with ALL their power.... and the consequnce was Hezbolah to destroy the Israeli attack during the last conflict. See them now during the last Nato summit. They couldnt pass not only their agenda for Vardarska... but also for Georgia and Ukraine. So... as you see... its a superpower.. that can loose. When a war starts, you never know what the consequences will be. Greece geographicaly, cannot be isolated.Thank God.. nobody can isolate Greece excpet the God and one of his tricks Bulgaria will help with all its power Greece because they know that if Greece collapse to the Americans plans... they are the next ones . We dont know what Spain and Italy will do. Usually.. they show very friendly behavior to Greece. Egypt... will help too due to the fact that Greece is the only ally of Nato that sees Arab nations in a friendly way and they know it. Serbs will find the chance to attack too. .....and for sure... dont forget Russia and their plans to pass their energy pipes through Bulgaria and Greece so a to reach Italy and central Europe who need Russia's energy. So.... things are not so simple just because America wants to. You tend to overestimate their power.. stop watching Rambo series/movies.. PS. Not to forget... today... as things are... Greece can have a silmutaneous war with all the Balkan states together (Turkey exluded) and win it. If Greece is to fight in one front only (North or East) can win that war. So... as you understand.. it will not be an easy case to harm Greece. Most propably US will have to use its own soldiers... and that thing can never be done. US to attack Greece... sounds to crazy to be real.

Julius
good questions, but we are not in Civilisation game.
Sanctions. why is somn going to sanction Greece and to which benefit? Greece has a powerfull diplomatic weapon tha the other balkan states do not: $$$ and is entering in the phase of rennovation of its armed forces. Huge commands for weapons costing mega $ are at stake. p.e. If the us impose sanctions, they make the choice of the Eurofighter easier. every plane costs millions of $$$. Greece needs to order more that 60. do the math. In the case of the navy or tanks, we should ask leandros.
EU cannot impose sanctions cos it is going to create "previous judgement" which can be easily used in the future to sanction Spain for the basques, Albania (when in the EU) for the Greeks, France for the algerians and so on.
If turkey decides to reroute merchandise, the only thing they will achieve is add 200 to 300 km in their route. Bulgaria is still eu soil and once there there is no difference. even if turkey decides not to send any products to Greece, they will come through Bulgaria with no added costs.
If albania decides to boycott Greek products: it is true that small entrprises will suffer (chocolate factories, food + beverage) but for the big players there will be no consequence. All the big investments (telecommunications, energy) are joint ventures with other Eu states like Italy or Germany.
experience is talking. apparently you like it cos you are still around....

At Basili.
Failing to expand your interes is not even with loosing. Americans failed to expand their interests in the region, FOR THE TIME BEING. And they had a very ambitious plan: Independence of Kosova, three adriatic countries on NATO and some countries in east Europe. The plan will follow according to agenda. But they are going to need more time to do that. Europians are great thinkers. USA will convince them.
when u will quest for alliance with Bulgaria, be careful not to mention them about the Balkan wars in the past. Maybe, just maybe they will think twice.
I gave u the reason why USA cant fail. There is England and Germany behind them. And also they are in dept with US from after WWII. Dont u think so?
I saw Rambo lately. Didnt like it. Too old. Stop hearing Papathemelis (pente patomata sto ypogeio). Anthimos is not a great example either.
In this topic more or less u are saying that US can fail and Greece cannot. If this makes sense to you...what can I say?
