1) Apparently in the past year things have become very expensive, in an attempt to make costs similar to EU norms.
2) the people's wages haven't kept up and it's beginning to be ludnica..
confirm?

Prices are at least half of the prices of EU ( public transport, cigarettes, electricity, telecommunication, water, food...........). If you wish I can give you comparison between Hungary (Budapest) and Serbia (Belgrade) item by item. 2) It is partly true for last half year because of economic crises wages started to fall, but is is true for almost every country in the world .Recently average wage was 400 EUR which is 100 EUR less then in Hungary (I use to live in Hungary so I can compare those two)

How much did he say a Jelen or Lav costs now?

Still, moja Kravica 88 dinara, last time i checked on 021 was too expensive. Now in Greece, milk mafia is down, so we can enjoy milk at 1euro/lt, before it was 1.2euro->1.8euro/lt with average salary i think 900euro/month

Pyrros I've heard that Feta cheese used to be expensive in Greece. At least compared to NYC prices. Do you know if that holds any truth?

Imlek as a producer of Kravica has kind of monopoly and it can afford such a price. Check price of Kravica in Montenegro or BiH it is abbout 65 RSD. Sabacko Mleko cost around 65 RSD. Are you talking about UHT milk or normal?

1) Apparently in the past year things have become very expensive, in an attempt to make costs similar to EU norms. 2) the people's wages haven't kept up and it's beginning to be ludnica.. confirm? 1) Yes. Miskovic's retail autonomy has increased as know he uses the inflation argument and the spouse of one of his directors heads the anti-monopoly commission. Miskovic's monopoly does not affect goods like tv's, it affects food mainly and someother supermarket products. Everything shonic said about public transport, cigarettes, electricity, telecom, water and so on is true. They are usually half the price as in the west, in transport and cigarettes even more and electricity is sold to people for a third of makret price [10% of our state bidget goes to keep prices at some .033€/kwh as opposed to the more appropriate .1€/kwh <-- the figures I use are dated but still apply]. 2) Yes. Because of the devaluation of the dinar your wage brings you 25% less then it did in August.

Are you talking about UHT milk or normal? I dont recall that bro... I remember that Sabac Mlekara was the only Serbian milk with affordable price in Brcko. Now my fox @ Brcko dont buy Serb milk, but Slovenian. In Serbia, NS, i think somboled had better price... but come on, Serbia has vast valleys, Serbs should export milk by the tones. Local mafia must be hit with anger! Serbs must have cheaper food, and not rely on the villages to buy all their food... (like most rural serbs do). About competion, EU and other such staff... there is no competition at all. Media portray imported milk as smth evil and disastreous, and so the milk importers (from the usual suspetcs germany, austria, and romania as well) increase the imported milk prices, in order to look .... "expensive" and good... Total craziness. Shonic, how are prices over there in US? Also, having the experience of the greek milk, which used to be the most expensive in europe for more than 4-5 years, i think that a non-profit State factory which could produce and sell milk at cost prices, it could regulate the milk market easily. I think in all base food products the same should be done. Once power goes to "oligarchs" things get really tough..
