Vizantijski stil U bogatoj riznici dijela albanskih majstora i umjetnika spadaju i arhitektonska dijela.

Neverovatno, necuveno, nevidjeno, bolesno!
One question for Albanians here: Why do you steal what is evidently not yours? The churches built by serbian rulers, designed by serbian artists are called "Albanian" in your touristic offers... Do you really have NOTHING of your own culture, are you that much desperate to have to steal what is of utmost importance to us Serbs? You should know that we will come back and we will never forget how you misused your fake victim positions to expel us from Kosovo.

^ That is just a basic principle of property law I believe. You have the strongest claim to the land if you live on it, but the rights that flow from that don't necessarily include the right to sovereignty. Think of the USA, where your right over your land allows you to even shoot trespassers, but it doesn't give you the right to form your own country or to do what Albanians are doing right now.
In any case, we're talking about churches here. Albanians don't live in those churches, and they never belonged to them, but they're claiming them now.

Hey Tripwire, what are you saying? I am expecting your answer: Why are you stealing our heritage? It's not our fault that you have no long-lasting history and connection to Kosovo!

There is a big difference between Serbs in RSK and Albanians in Kosovo. Serbs have been settled in Austro-Hungary (which is present Vojvodina, Croatia, Hungary...) to defend it from the Turks, which they did, and had no problems with local population. The Albanians have been settled to Kosovo together with the Turks, expelling the local christian-Serbian population, and ever since, Albanians and Serbs couldn't live in peace. I believe the Albanians have a right to live in Kosovo, of course, and not suggesting that they are some kind of invaders, but Serbs definitely have more rights to the land they inhabit than Albanians do to Kosovo.

Your so full of contradictions. You say that you were given land for the purpose of defending it from an enemy entity, so you pride yourself in it. But when it comes to Albs doing the samething, you suddenly find negativity... lol I dont think that they care to steal. I doubt that the average Alb of Kosova gives a crap about the churches of Kosova. But the fact that it pisses you off so much makes it worth it.

Hey Tripwire, what are you saying? I am expecting your answer: Why are you stealing our heritage? It's not our fault that you have no long-lasting history and connection to Kosovo! True, Albanian connection to Dardania is paramount. We don't see it as 'Kosovo polje"...just our ancient Dardha. Also, Albanians have no use for your typical Serbian confused heritage. We have no use for celebrating infamous losses, especially when the leader who lost a battle was famously waiting for his kin Marko, who ended up trading his daughter to the Sultan to save his own hide. When Albanians battled Turks, we lost our hides in the end. But, we don't celebrate that loss, we celebrate our survival and future. Especially a bright future in an Independent Republic of Albanian-Dardania.

I believe the Albanians have a right to live in Kosovo, of course, and not suggesting that they are some kind of invaders, but Serbs definitely have more rights to the land they inhabit than Albanians do to Kosovo. \ Really, well this begs the question, why did all your serbs abandon Kosova? Serbs had Belgrade's JNA stationed by their towns, and serbs had 100% employment in the best govt and private jobs all people would give an arm for...you even had Belgrade's support for raising your ethnic serb birthrates in kosova, yet your serbs massively abandoned Kosova for places north, why is that banat? That's a phenomenon even serbs don't comprehend, how come? All your serbs in kosova were being educated in top schools in kosova and rest of yugoslavia, yet millions of your serbs desired to settle in northern serbia or out of yugoslavia than stay in kosova. If the serbian church's birthplace is in kosova, why is your top archbishop located in belgrade and not kosova? As far as i know, artemije is not serbia's top cleric. Also, why, even in Kosova, where your churches do exist, there is such a LOW LOW rate of attendance by the serbian orthodox believers? The big question is, if serbs have more rights to. or claims to Kosova than Albanians do, then, why did your serbian orthodox people abandon their precious cradle like a whore abandoning her own child on the steps of her orthodox church? Did you actually believe the orthodox church could raise this abandoned child, kosova? lol banat, you have some growing up to do if you have such simplistic idealistic beliefs as you stated.

You have the strongest claim to the land if you live on it, but the rights that flow from that don't necessarily include the right to sovereignty. . Maybe, but again, on that note, the government also has the duty to protect all her citizens, especially the unarmed civilians from harm. The govt of that property does not have the right to expel one million unarmed citizens from their homes and country. It doesn't have the right to suspend habeas corpus and order executions of its citizens without due process. This govt also has no right to commit genocide and ethnic cleansing of its own citizens, even if the group in majority of this property are not of the dominant national ethnic serb portion. This is the reason why that group within that yugoslav entity, has the right to declare its independence from a dominant ethnic group that perpetrated the crime any govt would lose out on in a case like this, genocide of its own minority citizens.

Kosovo Trade Ministry re-writing history 3 February 2008 | 10:17 | Source: B92 BELGRADE -- The names of certain Kosovo landmarks have been changed on an online presentation by the province’s Trade Ministry.
Among other changes, Mt. Šara has become "the Albanian Alps", while Orthodox monasteries and churches are portrayed as being a "part of Byzantine culture".
The Serbian Culture Ministry has announced that they will react to the presentation.
Anyone interested in finding more about Kosovo’s tourist attractions would logically visit the Kosovo Trade and Industry Ministry’s website at visitkosovo.org.
However, little on the site corresponds to reality, as nowhere is there any mention of the Serbs’ influence or life in the province.
Furthermore, it is stated that the churches there were built by Albanian masters, and that they have served for communion and religious rituals for the Ilyrian-Albanian community since the fourth century.
Mention is made of the so-called Albanian-Byzantine style of architecture, as well as the “eclectic churches of the Roma-Byzantine-Gothic-Albanian style” built during the 16th century, featuring a picture of Graèanica monastery.
Director of the Research Center for Eastern Christian Culture in Moscow Aleksey Lidov, a member of the UNESCO damage assessment team following the troubles of March 17, 2004, says that it is absurd to deny the existence of Serbian Orthodox cultural heritage in Kosovo.
“From a historical perspective, I have no comment to make on this nonsense. You can call these monuments Byzantine, but there’s no doubt that they are Serbian Orthodox Byzantine heritage. For professionals, the matter doesn’t even merit discussion. Therefore, it’s a Serbian, Orthodox part of the great Byzantine civilization where I don’t see any Albanian element,” says Lidov.
Belgrade could turn to UNESCO, on whose list the protected cultural monuments and monasteries mentioned on the site - such as High Deèani and Graèanica - are included. However, the institution has yet to react, as Serbia has to make the first move.
Šar Mountain is presented as a part of the Albanian Alps, while tourists can learn for the first time that Kosovo has a sea, that is to say that “near Priština, the Dren Valley is located that links the White Drim to the Albanian Sea by the shortest route.”
The site added that white bears lived on the mountain, though this has since been changed.
Deputy Minister for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Miomir Koraæ told B92 that sites like these say more about the people that create them than give any relevant information of historical significance.
“Such a view has no weight in serious European and scientific circles. So, you can say on the site that these Serbian cultural heritage sites in Kosovo are Ilyrian-Byzantine, you can call them Icelandic, you can say that I don’t know what territory and time they belong to, but, you know, in science there are certain things that are embedded,” said Koraæ.
