Note that the word pelasgos possibly derives from the greek word pelargos, which means stork.

Also,it is very interesting that many other nations in our region, concider the pelasgians as their own anchestors...turks,romanians,bulgarians,georgians...do you remember the turkish archaologist,mr Polat Kaya???He claims that the legendary Lemnos stele, which is probably of pelasgian origin, can be transalated through the turkish language...He believes that pelasgians were of skythian origin, and therefore prototurks... www.carolandray.plus.com/Eteocretan/Pelasgians.html

PrijesDardanian-
The Albanians are trying to even lay claims on me! No way in hell im an Albanian trust me on that one. Also it is obvious that the Pelasgians where a Greek tribe. You would have to be a moron to actually think they where Albanians.

Herodotus on the Pelasgians and the Early Greeks[Herodotus, The History of Herodotus, George Rawlinson, tr., vol. 1 (New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1885), Book 1; and vol. 2 , book 3]. www.shsu.edu/~his_ncp/Heropel.html58. The Hellenic race has never, since its first origin, changed its speech. This at least seems evident to me. It was a branch of the Pelasgic, which separated from the main body, and at first was scanty in numbers and of little power; but it gradually spread and increased to a multitude of nations, chiefly by the voluntary entrance into its ranks of numerous tribes of barbarians. The Pelasgi, on the other hand, were, as I think, a barbarian race which never greatly multiplied.
