Macedonia should be annexed by Bulgaria and then greeks dont have to worry about the name Macedonia. half of macedonia which is an albanian majority to albania and the other half to bulgaria, that's my oppinion. Macedonia gonna disolves into 2 parts in the near future anyway since albos dont want macos controlling their albo majority area.

I agree wbb that from historic point of view this the most reasonable thing to be done. However for 50 years those Bulgarians are thought to hate the Bulgarians in Bulgaria, due to political reasons. That hatred gave fruit and now most fyroms dont think they are (or used to be) Bulgarians. Rather they think they are northwest Greek tribe who magically started speaking Bulgarian. In that sense I dont think anyone in Bulgaria wants Fyrom to join us, cause we dont want these people to do something against their will. If in the future, they find way to embrace their past, maybe, eventually, if there is a strong will on both parts, there would be a common state. Till most fyrom hate us passionately I dont think its a good idea. In my oppinion Bulgaria should stay as it is and conncentrate on its well being, especially now that we are in the EU. Getting richer and prosperious country maybe is the way to make Bulgaria attractive to the fyroms, so that they "remember" the past. Even now, still unstable economically, lots of fyroms proove their bulgarian orifgin and take passports.

Serbian scientist Cvijic from around 100 years ago states that these slavophones were a mass of people who identified themselves as simply Slavs. serbian is the key here.except for the serbian traveller for which, of course, fyroms were just "slavs", for all other travellers, scientists or examinors the people in fyrom were, simply put, Bulgarians. There are huge amount of documents that proove it.

A partial victory for Greece as it implies a greater Macedonia (the real one) to the South. But also a partial, but lesser, victory for the Western Bulgarians who adopted the Macedonian name 60 years ago. A clever Greek. But the not all Western Bulgarians think they are north Greek tribe. Actually the people from Pirin Macedonia is Bulgaria are the biggest patriots, so its just the southwest Bulgarians.
