Are they represented in parliament? Do they have any political parties? How do they get along with the Arvanites? Do you think many of them have assimilated?
Just curious.

Are they represented in parliament? Do they have any political parties? How do they get along with the Arvanites? Do you think many of them have assimilated? Just curious. 1) They cannot represented in parliament since they're not citizens. They're like the Greeks in Germany.. "gastarbeiters".. .economic immigrants. Only few of their children become citizens at the end. That is how it works. 2)..so.. no.. they dont have any political parties.. 3) I dont know about their relations with Arvanites. I know that Arvanites dont like nationalist Albanians.. because they're nationalist themselves.. 4) Many have assimilated and many not. but for sure.... 60-70% of the kids are assimilated. It depends on the family style. If the family earns some good money, they have culture and education, and their kids can hang around with Greek kids... then they get assimilated. If their family is very rural and poor family.. or with troubles with law... or with some "weird" Muslim traditions.. I doubt they can assimilate. For sure.. today you cannot understand in a company of kids who is Albanian and who is not. They all dressed the same.. they all behave the same... they all speak the same. For sure... the ones who cannot assimilate are the ones who have not succeed in their lives as economic immigrants in a foreign country... and in order to excuse their failure.. they affect their kids negatively about that "bad" new country. In other worlds.. the loosers. The future of the child always depends on how his/her family moves....

I praise all those Albanians immigrant in Greece who addopted themself in new life. I do have some relatives there who are well integrated. One of them works in Athens in University. Her son gets along with Greeks in college and almost all his friends are Greeks. That's a good thing. What I don't like is the term ASSIMILATION. I prefer INTEGRATION instead. Albanians in USA mostly are integrated in the new life but all proudly say they are Albanians. Of course this is USA not Greece. Unfortunaltely though Greece is part of EU it stills is part of Balkans and ASSIMILATION tends to replace INTEGRATION. I don't think that Albania would have performed better in this department but at least we have an excuse, we are not part of EU yet. I well remember the words of a painter in Greece ( he is Albanian but very successful in Greece) who said, If hypothetically Greece were going to apply for EU now, with the existing living standards, it would be very difficult to be addmited because there many requirements that they don't meet, like relegoin freedoms, minorities etc. I understand it hard to be Europian while being a Balkan country. After more than thirty yrs in Eu (correct me if I am wrong) Greece is still in transition period towards becoming a real EU country.

The question we should be asking ourselves is why do we still have a Greek minority in Albania and how do we get rid of it before getting admitted to the EU.

Let their birthrates continue the downward spiral. Promote what is currently happening in the south: Cams expanding, outbreeding and populating all the major areas. Promote their emigration to Greece, help them receive Greek citizenship while continuing the current policy( Albania currently allows for dual-citizenship, but can wave the Albanian citizenship of any individual with a secondary one legally, meaning they can remove the citizenship of any Greek who has Greek citizenship as well). An interesting Greek article was posted recently at a Northern Epirus website. it mentioned how many villages in the south that once had a significant Orthodox population today have become almost entirely Muslim Albanian (mostly Cam). In Himara you have a big migration of Muslim Labs and Malsors in the region who are young and have many children, whereas the locals have maybe one to two kids and 90% of them live abroad. In other Greek minority areas the student-teacher ratio is almost at 2:1 or 1:1 in their schools. We are making good progress. A few more decades they will be as extinct as Greeks in Trabzon. It will be a sweet day when that comes.

Lets not forget. We also have plenty of Kosova Albs who can be moved south at any time. Especially now that the Kosova case is pretty much done for. Zog had a very good plan for that, but unfortunately the Communists never implemented his nationalist policies. Our population growth is highest, the Greek one of the lowest. Think about it, the Albanian population during communism grew 4x its original size, the Serb and Greek minority by 2x.

You keep flinging that idea about the Kosovars coming south.... shove it up your ass.. I got 2 Kosovar friends.... Kosovars are preferable to parasitic leeches like you..bring them on... and whose the "we" ? Why would Kosovars give up a higher standard of living to come to South Albania and who has the power to move them? That what I thought.... Kosovars had no contact with Greeks ...when they meet ... they are instantly friends....

The Greek minority has been there before Albanians came to the Balkans. From where Albanians came to Balkans? i believe you have some solid information about migration of Albanians to the Balkans, if you dont have no historical proof about Albanian migration to the Balkans than you loose you face! we can show you historical records about the serb and asian(anatolian) greek migration to balkans!

My friend Burim..says he don't give a chit about the Cams... His only interest is for Greece to invest in Kosova and recognize it... Cams are on their own.

Here is something: fuk Burim, fuk his life, his dog, his cat, his tv, his house, his family.
He doesnt matter, he is one person. In Albania, whenever Cams gather, Kosova Albanians are never far behind. They invite UCK members to speak at their gatherings. Many of their diehard supporters are Kosova Albanians, who never grew up with the negative propaganda against Albs that Hoxha's regime preached.
