Since most models are now electric drive, developed the idea of a separate electric city cars for Croatia. The result is a Stadtfloh with the name "XD", whose production will start in mid-2010. "Only the lithium iron phosphate battery-Doc Ing buys a" told me Juric. The objective is the XD as a mobile phone to sell: The purchase price is of Croatian energy companies subsidize the payroll via kilometers. Who said anything about it being new? It'll be good for the economy if we can get those babies sold to larger markets.

Lol. They've already been making an electric car in Serbia for close to a year and same with Bulgaria for the last couple of months. www.pancevo.co.rs/2008/04/16/debeljaca-vozila-na-elektricni-pogon/I'm curious how many people they expect to be emplyoed in it's manufacture. Around the time I first heard of the company in Serbia making such cars [ late 2007 ] they employed 20, since then they've expanded to close to 200 <-- at fully capacity as planned they're supposed to directly employ 2,000 and over 10,000 indirectly [it's capacity is supposed to be 20,000+ cars when fully complete].

Because the technology has been there for a long, long time. What the hell are they waiting for? Because until relatively recently, the amount of electricity needed for an electric car to be viable wasted more energy then just running on oil [afterall most electricity comes from Coal, Oi plants land NG plants]. Advances made in the last 5 years changed the picture to the point where this difference is substantially reduced and within a few years will be non-existant.

Oh c'mon people you could even make and engine that runs on air...The thing is they don't want this advance, they don't want to invest; for their own interests. Username, I'm sure eventually a car with more power could come to effect, anyway...don't you want to breath nice air? You'd rather have a fast car...?
Same goes with the airline industry; they have the tech to make an aircraft go into the stratosphere then back down...you could go like 20,000km in 2 hours or so. But no, no one wants to put the money down in the beginning. So I still have to sit on my Bosanski guza for 22 hours just to get to Europe...one way!!! joj! :-)

I wouldn't be caught dead driving an electric car until the technology improves.. a hybrid maybe. The technology for electric cars as powerful as sports cars exists. It's just not practical from an economic standpoint. The simple fact is the battery technology is too expensive. The batteries last some 1-2 years and a replacement for a substandard car costs some 15 Grand [ more expansive for better cars ]. The battery technology is the problem. But there is a solution, look into Project Better Place apparently they have found a solution to the battery problem.

our fellows are working very hard to cut the cost for cheaper electric cars so plz w8 more .... japanese car manufacturing companies will produce & sell electric cars for consumers in 2010 or 2011, i heard. Same goes with the airline industry; they have the tech to make an aircraft go into the stratosphere then back down...you could go like 20,000km in 2 hours or so.
