Train stations of Thessaloniki. Emphasis: Thessaloniki. Greece. Albania: He's worried that could endanger their safety, because they have been beaten in the past after their rendezvous points were discovered. But they mostly meet in parks, invariably under the cover of darkness. The association has 30 active members and about 200 other activists, but only Almalek was willing to talk to the media. This isn't strange since in Albania homosexuality was criminalized until 1995. Article 137 of the Penal Code clearly said that homosexuality was a crime and that anyone discovered to be homosexual faced up to 10 years in prison. www.media-diversity.org/beta%20articles/Homosexuals%20in%20Abania.htm“The attitudes toward homosexuality have not changed much, and they have to protect themselves,” says Terpo. “It’s not that now, in 2007, there is any real difference to what we have seen before. They continue to be subjected to discrimination in all walks of life, and that includes state institutions,” he adds.I agree with you Mark, I come from Tirana and I have left my home country 7 years a go since I was 15 years of age.
The local community police officers do not support LGBT any any way nor in court. Instead they beat them up and if they are out the will not be able to work, nor have friends nor be able to go to the shop without being through a stone or called and pushed aside. When I was 15 one of the guys who I can not name he found out that I was gay and he tried to raped my twice with another guy. I do not know but I have been very lucky to get out of Tirana. If my family know that I am gay first my brothers would try and kill me and I know I will no longer have a family . I would loose my beautiful sisters and my mum due to my brothers. I get so tiered and I feel so hopeless that there absolutely nothing to support us. gayswithoutborders.wordpress.com/2007/12/05/homophobia-in-albania/Albania has pretty much unloaded all of its most immoral and disgusting trash in Greece. The most ignorant of vilagers, the criminal jailbirds. Etc. Etc. Those who hug the Thessaloniki train stations left Albania because if they hugged any stations in Tirana, they would be beaten or killed. Now get off of my balls. You seem to be completely fixated with me. I dunno what you want from me, but just stop bothering me now. Do I frighten you that much?

Rape is an issue of humiliation and shame in traditional Albanian society because it means being subjected by another... being made, defined in terms of the American prison culture, a 'bich'. Particulaely, someone else's bich.

This whole drag queen favoring culture is a really pathetic western phenomenon. Effeminate men have been common throughout history, especially classical age (they are made fun of constantly by satirists and comedic writers), but this culture of somehow finding them "cute" and "funny" is irritating. And yet, if you dont support their overly sexual displays, you are not being tolerant. They can talk about anything (and literally, anything) and your supposed to find it entertaining. These two girls I knew found some Puerto Rican queer hilarious so they invited him to a hookah bar we went to. I had to sit there and listen to this "guy" talk about how in Italy he would get fuked hard by some built Albanian immigrant to the point that he could barely walk... and then proceeded to call my people the "n**g**rs of Europe".. of course in an effeminate way so I had to find it humorous and entertaining, when really I could think of was shoving a knife into his throat.
Oh and then he went on a racist rant against Blacks.
Oh and when he noticed a friend of mine, who is pretty homophobic and didnt know the girls wuld invite this guy, was not paying attention and sitting away from him, he started to "toy" with him, to play on his "hate" or "fears" by trying to get his arm around him and calling him "cute".

if he's really gay then he is a SLOB. Did you see his jeans hanging from hooks and behind him, clothes falling out of the drawers? Gay guys are usually very neat. Don't you watch Will & Grace?
