In Chios we use these words that no other Greeks understand... anyone know any of them ? antikri= across the street zieri= liver pouti= p*ssy vili=D!ck kariola=brassbed or s**t... -"Antrikri" we use it too, I think used all over Greece with same meaning. Its from the ancient antikry-áíôéêñý with the same meaning also. -Zieri tzieri- is a loanword in Greek,in expression " mou'fage ta tzieria" , meaning the bowels, liver, from turkish ciğer(from persian) -Villi-Is the genere neutro of the ancient word villos-âßëëïò, ôï d1ck...today survived only in some dialects. -Kariola-Is used all over Greece...first was the meaning of the brassbed and after got also the meaning of putana....maybe because a putana uses a lot the bed... -Pouti- I suppose come from the italian putta, the short form of puttana...

Putta is in Spanish , means "bitch" ! In Italian is used "troia" or "puttana" for "bitch" ! Or Albanian "bythë" : "ass" and even Tosk : "piçkë" for "bitch" .

OK. So this is curious. My mother used to have this expression when she was exasperated: Epsises to dzieri mou. Which I always took to mean “you fried my gizzard”, or something silly like that, since sykoti is liver as I knew it. My maternal ancestry is strictly from Naxos. So hearing this associated with Chios is a revelation. Now I’m going to have to dig to see if I have any ancestry there...
