Hello friends.. if any of my statements regarding Voijvodina have offended you, I apologize. Those statements were mostly in defense of some of the preposterously inaccurate statements that were made regarding Bulgaria and Macedonia by representatives of the Serbian forum. Serbia does have population claims on Voijvodina, as Serbs are the majority of the population in that region. However, Voijvodina is autonomous similarly to Kosovo (now, Kosova).
Regarding my saying Kosova instead of Kosovo.. I’ve already mentioned, Bulgaria recognizes it as an independent state and I support my country in this decision.
Personally I think that it is sad how the wealthy powers of the West have the authority to do as they please.. BUT, I think that the Serbian government itself opened the doors for the actions taken by the UN, the US, and other Nato nations. Similarly Bulgaria has been dismembered on multiple occasions by the ‘Great Powers’, the difference is that it was Bulgarian population that was lost not just land.
I sincerely believe that if Serbia’s politics today work against the ultra-nationalistic notions and falsifications of the past; Serbia will enjoy much better relations with all of its neighbors.
I’ve mentioned this before.. Bulgaria has the most ethnically and religiously tolerant history in comparison to all of our neighbors. History has shown that Bulgaria has almost entirely only taken action in defense of its own people, land, and history. I consider the statements made by Pyro and Novi a direct offense that is more than personal.
I have many Serbian friends, who unlike Pyro or Novi are actually objective, reasonable, and learned individuals. In fact, over the past few weeks I made the acquaintance of this girl who is a Bosnian Serb and some of her best friends are Bulgarians.
Unfortunately people like Pyro and Novi sometimes hinder friendly relations by making false claims and hateful and racist statements.
