From The respective wiki, it appears that Standard Torlakian from Vranje->Nis have/had: a) Nominative b) Accusative c) Vocative while for the so called "analytical" languages the trace of cases are lost after 18th cent (FYROM) or just lost without a trace (bulgarian). However, at least in Nis area, the trend is to re-introduced the rest of the cases as spoken in Std Serbian.

^ Arsenije, it will be a disaster when the old serbian language is lost forever. It is the original serbian.

Arsenije, the well dressed guy in this photo's statute is Stevan Sremac, who although originally from Vojvodina, chose southern Serbia to work and write his novels *in Nisliski Torlakian*. The most famous being Zona Zamfirova.

Zamfirova? Good. ;D Btw, this is a very correct film, regarding the language. Well done to the director. And I am completely certain that I understand more from what people talk than Novi, let alone you.

Linguists like Dalibor Brozovich or Pavle Ivich and others classify Torlakian as the Old Shtokavian dialect. Modern Serbian is based from the Eastern Herzegovina dialects which Karadzich when he reformed the language modelled it from.

Also, let us note, smth, that might be wrong, and is exclusively my theory. A lot of toponyms in Krajina/western Bosnia can be found in Epiros and exclusively there. (Smokovo/Doljani/Bizanj to note few). My theory is that Serbs came to Epiros by land at about 1000->1200 BC, and left at about 1300->1500 BC by sea to todays Kraijna/western Bosnia, (maybe with the help of Austrian fleet?) I have strong evidence that my very wife's ancestors were in Epiros. Maybe those serbs upon their arrival in Krajina/Bosna, were nicknamed "Vlahs" because of that reason? I remember "Al Kapetan" referring to Bosnian Serbs as vlahs. I mean maybe the local Bosnian bogomils were using that term to piss off the orthodox newcomers?
If my theory is true, then the DNA of Krajina Serbs and that of south Serbs is identical.
PS, Judging from toponyms again, those Serbs were talking standard Ekavica with eastern accent: Suvoselo, Leskovic, etc...
PS2 Greek Epiros, regarding toponyms is a TREASURE for anyone with the ambition of doing some decent historical work on the presence/arrival/activity of Serbs.
PS3 The most important from the "greek nationalist wannabe point of view" is that my theory is the ONLY one which can prove that we are not slavs. German Farmerayer was suggesting that we, modern greeks, are slavs. No "nationalist" could ever respond to his claims, even if it apparent that we have no slav memories, but we live in a land in which ever 10 km, reminds us of slavic presence. Well those nationalists, taking the plane from Athens-London, Paris-Athens didnt have much chance to prove anything, cause they were clueless idiots.

I admire Pyrros imagination. Epic. I think we have another Tolkien before our eyes.
