I honestly think that the only sane solution is giving 75% of KiM to the Albanians, and 25% to the Serbs, I looked at some demographic statistics, and that seemed to me like the fair border. Serbs and Albanians sharing a state makes as much sense as Germans and Speniards sharing a state, be that state Serbia, or Yugoslavia, or Kosova...
Anyways, I have no reason to support anyone, from stories I "know" that if I was there in 99, I would be in deep shit no matter if I encountered Albanian or Serb soldiers at a check point.

this week i ve watched an nhk program which features world heritages in kosovo. www.nhk.or.jp/sekaiisan/invitation/archives/archive091109.htmlseveral comments from local people i remember were like this: (1) a monk in gnjilane monastry we are targeted now. its getting better these years but still in danger. this wall was destroyed by rocket. albanians launched it and it hit the wall here. (2) a serb man with family in metohija kosovo's independence is unaccectable. kosovo have always been part of serbia. you ask why did i return here? oh i thought you were going to ask more difficult questions. why did i return here? because its my home. do you need any other reasons? it is not i moved to foreign place. i just came back home. i was born & raised here. this is my home. there is no home other than this place. we used to live overthere before the war. (...) this place used to be my causin's house. there was another house of serbs. today there is nothing. it's totally covered by weeds. nobody can live there. people cannot return to this place anymore. (...) here, these walls used be parts of our old house. me and my parents, grand parents used to live together here. i cried when i saw my house looking like this. its totally wrong. (...) before the war, we could live a normal life safely, today we have to worry a lot everyday. but i have to live here. its my home. (3) an albanian man in gnjilane this grave, is of a young albanian man. he was innocent but killed by serbian cop. he should not be killed. he was innocent. it's impossible not to hate serbs. serbs killed him, killed a lot of other innocent albanian. when we think about it, how can we stop hating them. its ok when they shut themselves in the monastry & live within it, but the city of gjilan is ours. they shouldn't allowed to hung around freely in the city. the city belongs to us. (4) albanian man who visited gnjilane monastry i'm very glad to visit here. i'm not christian & i have never been to serb church before. its beautiful. i can fell its long history. i'm very happy about that. (5) ols serb woman who visited a mosque in gnjilane. what the serb cop have done was wrong. it was wrong thing. the war was terrible mistake. but we have lived here in kosovo for a long. turks managed to own kosovo, but finally it was returned to serbia. kosovo is always part of serbia. kosovo's independence should never be allowed. albanian violences cannot change this. (6) old nun in pec monastry i dont want to display a lof of damaged things like this. we suffered a lot, but displaying these damaged thing will raise hate. hate makes hate. hate lead us to wrong way. what we need is not hate. we should learn to live together peacefully. no hate is needed.

Welcome back Malsor. I was thinking your input would have come in handy a few times while you were gone...
The chick has a good point in there as well... The European Union is bringing down boarders while at the same time trying to create new ones for Kosovo.
I Cmenduri, over my head man, I have no idea what you are talking about.

The European Union is bringing down boarders while at the same time trying to create new ones for Kosovo. thats classic man... bring down the borders between people who cant communicate or share anything (e.g. Greece and England, or Greece and Finland) and create borders between brothers (Cyrpus, Kosovo, Bosnia-Serbia)...

I just thought it was a funny the way she phrased it "i personally know for sure..." Its a silly comment b/c Balkanites as a whole have all been discriminated against at some point or another--a never ending cycle, or so it seems. I aint a fan of the EU, by any stretch.

I honestly think that the only sane solution is giving 75% of KiM to the Albanians, and 25% to the Serbs LOL, the only sane solution is for serbs to learn to respect the territorial integrity of neighboring countries. If serbs want any part of Kosova they must offer an equally big part of Serbia(the Albanian-dominated Presheva-area).
