Great work by Robert Elsie who has pretty much covered most of the different dialects and accentsof the Albanian speaking world; www.albanianlanguage.net/en/rec_map1AL.htmlListen to nr 037, it sounds like Albanian with Jamaican accent, mixed a little with Brazilian Portuguese. Hilarious, and beautiful.

Nr 128. Almost identical to what my whole family speaks. I wonder how Elsie found some Albanians in Prilep lol.
Gotta love the Tetovars dialect nr. 013. I had a similar experience where my parents wanted to name me Valon. There was some kind of complication with the Macedonians (I think it was a spelling issue, meaning the name couldn't be spelled n Macedonian) and my parents were told to pick a new name.

my parents wanted to name me Valon. Is that albanian name Valon related with name Valona which stands for city Vlona? (Vlora) btw what's mean Valon?

Valon, as far as I know, refers to the waving of the flag when the flag is hanged.
Edit:
I just asked my father. the name Valon wasn't allowed because the name was deemed "nationalistic." In addition, during the late 80's it was illegal to raise the Albanian flag, and thus, a name that refers to the waving of the Albanian flag was considered treacherous.

Tetovar dialect is indeed cool ... my favorite include it, together with Malsor dialect, Lab dialect, Korca dialect. Listen also to Fan Noli, very beautiful speech, very archaic, and not like the Arvanites with their Greek accents. It's nr 089 ...

Thank you Donnie ! na kënaqe pasha Zotin ! S'ka gje, por kjo eshte puna e Elsiet, une vetem dhashe linkun ;D Puna e tij eshte vertet e palodhshme, dhe nese i ndegjoni dialektet e ndryshme dhe i lexoni te dhenat aty, del se shume prej incizimeve jane bere nga vet Robert Elsie ... ndersa te tjere, si p.sh. zeri i Fan Nolit, eshte material i huazuar.

Great find Donnie. I didnt know about the albanians of Zadar, do u know the history of this ? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arbanasi_(group)Among them there is also Aleksandar Stipcevic, the famous Illyrologist who've made great contributions in this field. I wish ... ky eshte ai qe perktheu vepren monumentale te Fishtes ... se sa vlere ka ai perkthim s'di, sepse nuk e kam lexuar, dhe dihet se perkthimet gjithmone pesojne nje humbje te ndjenjes origjinale, e sidomos kur eshte pyetje per nje veper si lahuta ... mirepo vet guximi per t'u perballur me nje sfide te tille tregon c'kalibri i perket Robert Elsie ... Basically the mountainous region with Kukës as its centre. To the north it borders Hasi, to the south Dibra, to the west Mirdita and Puka, to the east Gora (Zhuri and other villages within Kosova are also part of Luma). Correct me if I am wrong anyone.

Does anyone fully understand the Arvanites ? I catch words here and there, but otherwise its very hard for me. i can fully understand 059, also 060 mut the greek accent is sronger, in 058 accent is deeply f**ked up, also fully understand 133,... What i find interesting is 090 in Ukraine, i clearly understand it and he tells that his ancestors escaped the turks, the language has not changed atall from how it was before turks. Listen to 111 in Kosova the Rahovec speach! Can some Bulgarian listen to it also and tell us how much of it you understand? at begining he explains about the speach of Rahovec in Albanian and then he starts to speak in Rahovecki!

dihet se perkthimet gjithmone pesojne nje humbje te ndjenjes origjinale. Eshte shume e vertete kjo qe thote donie. Asnjeri nuk ka aftesi qe te perktheje emocionet e brendshme dhe ndjenjat shpirterore te dikujti tjeter qofte edhe atehere kur kemi te bejme me perkthime apo riprodhime te se njejtes gjuhe.

The Arvanites i heard in the link have accents like talking in Greek, and use many Greek words. 058 is very moraitiki accent.
the north albanian accent reminds me Romanian speech.
