After head of Croatia Airlines Ivan Misetic admitted that only sale can save the national airliner from bankruptcy, experts say the most likely buyer is its long-standing partner Lufthansa, which is the most successful major company in dealing with the crisis, Presscut reported.
Private company Trade Air says it tried not to bother CA at the Croatian market, which has been ruled by Lufthansa anyway, since they would face a problem, considering the state support. The state granted CA guarantees for buying airplanes, and someone has to pay these loans, Trade Airs owner Mihajlo Cvijin says. Dubrovnik Airlines is also looking for new markets to survive and will soon launch a new company in Macedonia Mont Air.
