Albanian dance?
All these dances originated from Early Byzantium - stemming from dances from Ancient Greece.
All your dances are influenced from the Greeks.

I dont understand why you people have to remind us so morbidly over and over again that we have adopted this and that from originally albanian culture...(although its not that much as you people wish)
It wont change anything...it wont save albania from poverty...nor its people...at fewest will it make us being in your debt...in no way.
We Greeks have contributed more than enough to todays civilized world...and you albanians nothing, except well organized drug scenes perhaps...our pride is not based on the Tsamiko, the Foustanella...or whatever else you like to claim as yours......keep that in mind sqiptarkia...

Even i do not agree that pontian knife or sword dance is any similar to Albanian sword dance, but i stronlgy believe that Laz,Pontians and Georgians belong to same group at least they are relatives. Laz!www.armelitkostum.com/kostum/ilkokul/trabzonilk.jpgwww.negatif.com/fotolar/552/7552/1ab7d39378446a8518814842881ff37c.jpgGeorgian!farm1.static.flickr.com/132/357120582_32d80e086b_b.jpgPontians!www.minoans.com/images/1999-FDF-MI-Pontian%20pose%20291.jpgwww.macedoniancc.com/images/costumes/pontianm.gifKastorianos! why all that mockin? buy saying We greeks to your self is pretty comic, i been to greece and to tell you the truth, all that anccient monuments i saw there somehow just dident fit with present day greeks,it was like two different worlds, there was some places in greece that remined me of some oriental place, the behavior of some greeks was pretty oriental,i dont know is there any difference between greeks from europe and greeks of asia, maybe all that oriental looking streets such streets that are so strongly oriental cant even be found in albania, are thous streets influensed buy asia minor greeks? When you take a pride on how mutch you have influensed todays world and mock albanians, have you ever thinke dthat we albanians do not accept people from different ethnicity even if they would speak albanian, but you greeks have assimilated so many different ethnicities into your nation,i mean who you are? what is a greek? are the greeks same people who use to be in ancient times before they assimilated bunch of other ethinicites into their nation?...

I always laugh when I hear some rif raf..say we have absorbed this and that.... let me tell you something ..we haven't not absorbed anyone...but many have fallen in love with what it is to be Greek... they have allowed themselves to be absorbed into our soul..proof is when you try to compare an Arvaniti to todays Albanian...you have to run fast or he will cut you in two....Arvanites are some of the most fierce Greek nationalists..don't mess with them...
Proof is that nations that have very little outside absorption ... is because no one wanted to be part of your nation... and ethnicity.

Hi Canaris. I wouldnt bet on what u say. First of all Metaxas "with love" forbiden and even had taxes on arvanites who spoke arvanitika.
One of our heroes Fan Noli had greek culture he was othodox, our archibishop. He had spoken in front of U N while ur prime wanted "north epirus" And in the practicals of that congress France with the voice of her foreing minister had said: We can give it to Greece, because it has great assimilation power. Greeks were surprised, how on earth an archibishop is representing those barbars? They had filled Europe with propaganda of us being savages. It was the only way they could take epirus.
So, for me personally being greek or albanian was a matter of Great Power's choise. Smth like fate, destiny. Im albanian and proud of that, i feel conected to you greeks too, BUT lets face the facts. U also dont know that somewhere in Thrace there is an albanian comunnity who has no rights for schools etc.
First of all its the myth that we are not in the same standarts as u are. This has to be break down. We have our heroes, our myths, some of them are yours to. This can only connect us, not divide. About Arvanites, let me remind u what Janis Latsios has done, giving tractors, scolarship and even admiting that "he is from a village named dardha (pear in greek) in Albania".
Kostas Loulis has opened a fabrice of flour at Tirana. Aristidh Kolia and his views are still alive.
Your new archibishop is arvanitis - read his statements about the ''macedonia" issue and gathering people. The most lliberal party of greece has an arvaniti president - Tsipras. Also some arvanites are members of that party (SIRIZA) including a guy named Koroveshi (read his statements about migration). He was also friend of Mano Loizo.
I think arvanites are the today so called anarchists, at least big part of them. No relations of arvanites with "xrysi avgi", I havent find anyone so far... ---------------------------------- Proof is that nations that have very little outside absorption ... is because no one wanted to be part of your nation... and ethnicity. ------------------- Eagles will always fly, its our destiny. Or maybe being ILIR - free.

Bah. The only reason Albanians have to obsess over spreading lies such as their "Illyrian origins", their claims on Skenderbeg, and the trash written above is because their country is in such absolute shit, if they can't be proud of their modern achievements (of which none come to mind) they have to fabricate past ones. When were they a country? An empire? When did they have a culture? A rich history? Never. No crap their going to steal history from their neighbors (that have/have had a culture, history, and achievements). EXACT same thing with the Vardarskians (although even without the crap about them being Macedonians, they still have a lot more to be proud of then the Albanians).
