Swaziland recognizes Kosovo 14 April 2010 | 12:32 | Source: B92, Tanjug PRIŠTINA -- The Kosovo Albanian authorities in Priština on Tuesday said they received an official note from Swaziland "on recognition of Kosovo's independence".
"The Kosovo foreign ministry is in contact with Swaziland authorities through diplomatic channels to complete the procedure," said the statement.
Ahead of this announcement, leader of an opposition party and businessman Behgjet Pacolli said that the African country would recognize Kosovo, and took credit for this, saying it came as a result of his "lobbying".
Swaziland is the 66th country which recognized the unilateral proclamation, made in February 2008.
Belgrade rejected that declaration as an illegal act of secession, and the territory has not been able to join the UN.
