German tourists have been coming to Albania since the border first opened. They and other European groups came with a sense of adventurism: they wanted to go where others had not, so you could often find them travelling and hiking around the areas of Malesia and other places in the north.
I really love Germans for that, a great sense of attraction towards the new. They alongside Swedes.
I remember back in 04 when I was in Dhermi. My uncle couldnt get any room since everything was full. Next door to our shabby house there was a group of German tourists. While all the Albs I ran across were constantly complaining about lack of service or how irritable the room was, the German tourists seemed to just be enjoying themselves. They really didnt care about how crappy the rooms were, they were just enjoying their time.

Is very nice to see German tourists in Saranda. But my concern is, Saranda is exploited more from Greek tour guides across Corfu. There where the big money guys! That is the sad true With the non-sense anti boat law from Berisha govenrment give direct exclusivity to the Greek boats and tour guides in Corfu. They charge 150 euro PP for a day tour in Saranda(is pretty chilly price) I would like to see more organised tourism in Albania and lower prices. Turkey and Bulgaria is a good example how tourism can be done. I hope i see more foreign agencies operating in Albania like Tomas Cook,Manos,Apollo. The irony is our national touristic agencies they have many offers for all around the world, from Montenegro to Carabean but you wont see anything for here in Albania.

its funny to hear the Germans saying again and agaian "thats albania? noo"...the people think albania is a desert country...with drug-mafias everywhere...and poverty. Look at the video....wherever they see sth good they say "its like Greece". Make your own conclusions. You have still a lot to do about your image...albanians are usually equated to peoples like Turks...Moroccans etc. It has to do with their behaviour on street...in public.

That is your opinion dude..with your primitive Balkanic brain! Ask Germans what they think about the Greeks...Lazy,Spoiled,noisy And about apearance dont talk...Greeks are mistaken more with middle eastern and Turks in Northern Europe... I had a fellow student in UK from Greece and he was getting loads of racist coments from Britts every day

Albanian immigrants(Mehmeti, Osmani, Naim, etc) that work in Greece are thought to be either ruskis or damaged faced beings... And I'm glad Agioi Saranta are going good in tourism.. Its "like" Greece there... BTW albos whats going on in Albania? Do you have a parliament or not...? I've heard you voted to allow a 1200 Turks navy power to establish in you waters... Of course...how can you resist to you Osman baba...

Only in this case, Germans probably would not stoop to the level of Alboz.

Maybe there was a mix-up with the British tourists.

That is why also the beaches are as empty as they are ... it will attract adventurers and "explorers" more than real tourism. PS C'eshte bere me projektin e aeroportit te Sarandes?

Ti the tre aeroporta, i treti eshte ai i Kukesit, i cili me sa di sherben vetem si aeroport ushtarak, jo civil!? Ate s'do ta konsideroja ,,, dy aeroporte, Rinasi dhe nje ne Tirane, s'me duket e tepruar.
