Ulf, that document is a very simplistic overview of the Balkans. You can't just draw a line and say "Greek" or "Thracian".
The map you posted states that (FY) Macedonians fall into the Greek category, and yet, from the pictures I've posted here, it's clear that most of the Macedonians look very different to the Greeks and belong to the Balkan category. A lot of Bulgarians do too.
Your documents are simply wrong.

Believe whatever you wish... This line doesn't mean "Here in Greek category there is no people of Balkan category" or other way, because its not right. Essentially Macedonians lean more toward Greeks then for example Balkans by appearance. Same goes for Bulgarians, except they are listed as "Thracians"

That's probably true, there's a very Pontid look about most Macedonians I've seen in real life, and the same serves true for Bulgarians.

Kastor, get a life will you? Turks do not look any less European than their Mediteranean counterparts.

Same goes for Bulgarians, except they are listed as "Thracians" Despite the confusion, I actually agree with you. And I've said this before, the southern parts of Macedonia are more Greek and Bulgarian like, while the northern parts, more "Balkan" like. People move around of course so it's more difficult to notice that, but I believe it's true.

Guys, I don't know, but is seems like that most of the football players are all quite ugly looking for some reason. Strange.

Russian players look like mujiks, like caricatures. lol, the look like some sort of genetic experiences made from spare parts. I don't think the Romanian players that have light hair look anything like the the Slavs, with some exceptions like Marius Niculae, here in the right: He has a Russian look but not the mujik look. But i took a look at the player from the team in my city, a lot of the young players are locals, there are some Serb players also and an Argentinian but you can easily tell them apart. Some of the Romanian players, all locals, born in the same city: Then look at the Argentinian player: The next two are Serbs: And a Bosniac: The next one is Gabriel Siminic, a Romanian player from SW Romania. He has a Croatian? Serbian? name, and does look a little out of place: The next one is Liviu Antal from NW Romania, the family name is Hungarian but many Romanians in that area had in the past the names magyarized by the Hungarian authorities, he could also have some Hungarian ancestors. Now, who look Slavic and why? Serbs are Slavs?

I noticed the opposite. Pretty much all of the players on the Serbian and Montenegrin team looked like typical Dinaric South Slavs.

I thought I would be the only thinking that many of them look weird.I dont know why,but many of them do.Very few good looking ones.
And yes,Turkey is the team with the most non-white ones. But a few of them, you can tell are mixed Euro.Anatole+Balkan...

Row 1, picture 5 Row 3, picture 5 Row 4, picture 2 Row 4, picture 4 Row 5, picture 2 All of those could fit in that Greek team. No. Not one of them is Greek looking... 4,4 looks 100% Greek.
