Serbian to be taught in southern Albania 20/09/2010
TIRANA, Albania -- The Serbian language will be taught in southern Albania to benefit a Serb community living in the Libofsh municipality. Serbian Ambassador to Tirana Miroljub Zaric inaugurated the learning programme on Saturday (September 18th) and promised that similar schools will open in other parts of the country. Lessons to about 60 children will be taught in Serbian during regular classes in the village of Rrethlibofshe. The Serb community arrived in Albania in 1924, from Novi Pazar. Many of them have preserved their Serbian traditions. (Balkan Web, Shekulli, Telegrafi - 18/09/10)

"Serbian" community? I find this very ironic ,, firstly, they come from Novi Pazar, a town that is largely Muslim, and secondly they "came" or fled from there in 1924 ,, why would they as "Serbs" leave their homeland for Southern Albania?

Calm down, Donnie. Nobody's trying to threaten your precious Albania. Serbs aren't Shqiptars.

Calm down, Donnie. Nobody's trying to threaten your precious Albania. Serbs aren't Shqiptars. I am calm, of course there's no threat in a community consisting of 400 people .. the "Serb" community in our country is an insignificiant one. I just wanted to point the irony in these people being played by the Serbs when it was probably Serbia to begin with that forced them to flee.

But the Albanians were forced to flee from Albania to Yugoslavia to escape from Albanian Communism and Hoxha's regime. I can see the irony of Donnie's arrogancies and biaseness.

Serbs just returned to one of their many former homelands. (Northern) Ipiros. I guess they feel at home among the plethora of Serbian toponyms found down there.

Libofsha isnt part of Northern Epirus you moron, it's to the north of it. PS Nice "Serbian" names the members of the community there have, like the house of Ekrem Dulevic which has been converted to this school for the Serbian language. lol

LOL, you're still wrong idiot. Libofsha isnt northern Albania either. ha ha, you know, normally between the the Serb north of a Serb land and the Serb south of the same land, there is always the Serb center of the Serb land. You know, outside the pokemon land, this is called common sense.

They're a bit like the Gorani, I imagine.

With one Orthodox gypsy (Novi) who emigrated to Australia. Or may be his confusion with his ethnicity has something to do with the confusion with his unawareness whether he is circumsised or not...Go figure.

I somewhat wished you never posted this because there are many Albanians out-there ready to pounce on those Serbs in southern albania.
P.S maybe that community should apply for Russian citizenship ;D

Or may be his confusion with his ethnicity has something to do with the confusion with his unawareness whether he is circumsised or not...Go figure. Ruse/Ioan had said that the myriads of Bulgarians prostitutes are not really Bulgarian but gypsies. Al right. Then they spend 9/10 of their lives (the rest 1/10 i guess goes for buying sleeping pills) to prove that Novi is Bulgarian, and then Ruse claims that Novi is gypsy and thus by his own definition NON-Bulgarian. If they ever put a logic lesson (like in maths) in elementary schools for children between 7 and 10 years old, a good exercise would be to identify the errors in comments similar to the ones "mastered" here by our Bulmongolarian friends

Either the article is a lie or we have Muslim Serbs who actually identify as Serbs which is interesting to say the least.

Shqiptars in Albania are somewhat civilised in that they'd actually let a few hundred people live without being brutally butchered. That's more than anyone can say about the Shqiptar predators in neighbouring countries.
