IMHO Arvanites are just ex-greeks, ex-vlahs who adopted the Albanian language. In fact i believe over 50% of todays albanians are like that. If looks play any role in that, arvanites dont look nothing like albanians. Albanians in Greece are blonde and short. And they have a certain geometry in their head/mouth/eyes. They do NOT look like arvanites.
Arvanites look like Greeks or Vlahs.

Bulls**t, all modern historians/linguists agree that Arvanites are Albanians. All contemporary historians/linguists/anthropologists agree that Arvanites are albanian-speaking (more properly, bilingual) Greeks. Actually, their opinion doesn't even matter, the Arvanites' self-identification does. You need to stop obsessing over ancestry so much. Albanians in Greece are blonde and short. And they have a certain geometry in their head/mouth/eyes. Trigonokefaloi autiades gia tin akriveia.

Dealing with greeks who live in lies is always a pleasure my source clearly said that Arvanites ARE albanians.
Ok guys lets make this simple. We have sources about Albanians migrating to both Italy and Greece in the middle ages. At this particular time, all Albanians called themself "Arbresh", now 2011, we have minorities of Albanians who live in both Italy and Greece who HAPPENS to call themself Arbresh. Now, what part of this extremely logical explanation do you not understand?

Are you beginning to understand now?

Its you who claim they are ethnic greeks who have adopted the Albanian language, wich is wrong and i have also proved it for you. Arvanit is just the Greek term for referring to early Albanians. All these names Arbanitas, arvanites, Albanoi, Arbanoi, Arbania, Arberia, Arbreshe, Arber etc comes from the same original word, but differ because of different dialects and interpretation by other languages.

Err no, *I* claim that they are (as a group) of "albanian origins" and that they have adopted the greek language, i.e. the exact opposite, which should be obvious from what I wrote above. Btw, "Arvanitis" in present-day Greek has been disassociated from "Alvanos" = Albanian (semantic change and all that).

Yes, I said that in 2011 they are "albanian-speaking (more properly, bilingual) Greeks".

Arvaniti blood getting hotter
