Only 5000 speakers left, fast better record and standardize this language, then look for constitutional rights in Turkey or something. Interesting though to be honest their rights are better than anything the Serbians or Greece had/has

Even more so, to curse a people who were born Muslim, and born, most probably, to Muslim parents and Muslim grandparents.
Such an artificial joke. lol!

What a terrible shame... to deny your ethnic brothers for the sake of some hoax/religion. Its not that their grandfathers converted to Islam, its that they did it during the Ottoman yoke.... and hopefully we Greeks have the privilege(due to the rich history) to ignore and feel offended by acts and decisions of parts of Greeks in the past, and not behave pathetically feeling proud, like others... of lets say...Ali pasha who have killed more christian Albos than any Ottoman Turk and considered himself a proud Ottoman(an arnavud one) in the same time of Kastrioti who was a honest good guy and fought the haldups from Asia... Circa 350.000 Pontians were killed and vanished from the surface of the earth just because they resisted that conversion and about the same number exiled in all directions from Russia and then Kazakstan and the steppes by Stalin and in Greece... These muslim Pontians grandfathers probably had their afternoon pray to Allah while their homoglossoi and homogeneis brothers and sisters had their heads cut by Osmanlis... i mean it...fock these bastards... let them live in eternity with their turkomongol, abhaz, cerkez, kurd, arnavud, bosnak, laz Mehmets and Osmans...

Such a black and white representation. Your characterizations and associations are pathetic. You create such a cleansed notion of history and character based on your biases. Scanderbeg was an honest guy who gave all Muslim Albs the choice of conversion to Christianity or death (a choice you probably lavish), who slaughtered thousands upon thousands of southern Italians (the Albanian invasion of southern Italy at the request of Italian princes completely shocked Italian sensibilities, since Albanians under Scanderbeg killed all prisoners and sacked villages they ran across in enemy territory). Ali Pasha was the first Albanian since Scanderbeg to speak of the name "Albania". He called his state such in front of all correspondences with the French. Men like the Suliotes didnt accept that, well, then they got what they deserved, just as Muslim Albanians in the time of Scanderbeg were impaled for not accepting the Albania that Scanderbeg spoke of. They were men of their time. Ali Pasha was in many ways like Scanderbeg, he created the identity of an independent state, created formal state policies. He operated as a lone gunman in all of this, only able to survive through rather brilliant political manipulations of Russians, Brits, French and Ottoman policies. His actions were even more international than Scanderbeg's were and showed even greater international insight. He made Janina the wealthiest city in the western Balkans, made Greek merchants rich by undermining Venetian and Italian trade. He is honored as a man who defined politics and policy in the western Balkans for nearly 30 years, even while coming from an illiterate background. Yes, you have your pride at least. The pride to live in a truncated state where only the most provincial areas survive. So much so that your very national identity had to be refixed to pride in mainly Classical Greece since the remnants of everything else is long gone. The pride to be the handicapped child of the EU. Be proud!

Why would you expect those Turkish Greek speakers to have any interest in you? I bet numerous of their ancestors were killed by Greek Pontic squands that went around to kill Turks before revenge came. On top of that why would they associate with a nation with no future outside being an EU child when they are part of a nation with a future, and one looking to become the dominant Middle Eastern state, and when they have the legacy of being descendants of a real international empire that once defined world politics.

There's nothing really new about this, is there or am I missing something? It's been well-known that Pontic Greek speakers still exist in Turkey and recently, to mention a couple of examples, Peter Mackridge has written a few articles about Pontic Greek as spoken in Turkey today and I'm sure that the Pontic Greek-speaking Turk Omer Asan in his "Culture of Pontus" (which I haven't read but I hear it's excellent) has at least some info about it. What's the date of the article? Pah, she's Pontian. Of course she cares about the Turkish Pontians, she'd care about them even if she weren't a linguistics professor and an "enlightened European Greek". You must have never met a Pontian. ;D

..Toski has his tongue up turk ass because he thinks Greeks care... It's sort of a love hate relationship... Albanians here seem to think that their neighbours care about them much more then they actually do. The generalised view of all neighbours apart from Bosniaks and other Muslims is that they were the greatest Turkish vassals, the people with the most primitive non-European (Islamic) culture and the people with the least significant contributions to society throughout time. Honestly I think probably most Serbs even place more value on Krajina & Bosnia then on Kosovo. There's not even a sense of competition towards Albanians. That's reserved mostly for Croats and then all other neighbours. Albanians are on a far lower playing field.

Albanians are on a far lower playing field. arsenije, serbs are considered animals by most of the balcans, serbs are the scum of the earth that have contributed nothing else other than genocide, mass murder, concentration camps, war, misery, destruction. all these words are synonymous with serbia, serbs are an indication that humanity is going backwards, the level of religious extremism in serbia is alarming and serbs are the christian equivalent of mujahadeen, this is shown by their indiscriminate killings of muslims and catholics in the name of their religion, many of the serbian warlords were always blessed by their religious clergy befre going on to slaughter bosnians and croats, and when they needed to hide and lay low the serbian church provided sanctuary for them, this means that your church openly endorses mass murder and openly encourages bloodshed, tell me what kind a fuked up church does that? serbia is a cesspool of scum that has contaminated and plagued the balcans for ages, serbs are quasi human people contribute nothing to society, you are a horrid abomination on mankind and if i tidal way were to sweep over serbia and drown every living serb creature, i doubt anyone would shed a tear.

^ Coming from an unbiased view I have never heard anyone refer to Serbs as such... apart from Albanians.... which BTW holds no water.

I have no interest in what Greeks care or not, I just spoke the truth as I view it in my post.
You have no competition with the Croats. They won. Simple as that. The Serbs in Krajina are gone today and 99% they will never go back. Also, Croat economy is stronger and their society in general more prosperous. Whatever competition, it came and went and Serbs were the losers.
