True, but just think about this for a moment... If I as a Greek became famously heroic in Canada,I would be called 'the Dragon of Canada'...or insert any other name you want.... Maybe John Hunyadi was referring more to the topography then to the person.. Fair enough, but it is well documented that Kastrioti family was an Albanian noble family, really no point in arguing it. I am not arguing about Kastroiti... I already said that I believe he was Albanian.. just pointing out your flawed logic on the way you quoted it.

Hellenas, basically what you are claiming is that anyone who is Atlanto-mediterrean is in fact a Greek? are you high or just stupid? People like you usually, when they have nothing to say, fall in insults and personal comments. Carleton Stevens Coon Racially an American Atlanto-Mediterranean. Carleton Stevens Coon, (23 June 1904 – 3 June 1981) was an American physical anthropologist, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania, lecturer and professor at Harvard, and president of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carleton_S._CoonAtlanto-Mediterraneans:A tall, dolichocephalic or mesocephalic type with dark hair and dark brown eyes, a straight nasal profile, and a tendency toward a lesser leptorrhiny than the total group. This is an Atlanto-Mediterranean racial type which is also prevalent in other Balkan countries. It may also be sorted out of available statistical series of Greeks[/u], while it is common in Bulgaria and easily distinguishable among Serbs. It, or a similar type, also occurs with Dinarics in northern Italy and the Tyrol. In northern Albania it is commonest in Malsia Jakovλs and Dukagin. carnby.altervista.org/troe/12-13.htmSince from the mythical days of the Argonauts to the present, neither the peninsula of Hellas nor Ionia and the Aegean Islands have been large enough to hold the far-wandering Hellenes.carnby.altervista.org/troe/12-14.htmWho's stupid now? Obviously you not me.

Now the issue is 1 and the claims are 3, lets check 'em: 1-The Albanian claim based on books and historic evidence. 2-The Serbian claim based on Blog spots. 3-The Greek claim based on YouTube. I VOTE FOR ALBANIA, I think there's a reason why John Hunyadi called George Castriota "Dragon of Albania". Hello moron.... books.google.com/books?id=FEHTAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA225&dq=branilo+kastrioti&hl=en&ei=pYFcTYj6LMidgQeMwNmXDQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&sqi=2&ved=0CCsQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=branilo%20kastrioti&f=false^^THE KASTRIOTI GENEOLOGY Irrefutable proof of Skanderbeg's 3/4 ethnic Serb origins Unbiased sources, mental midget. Sure as I said about a billion times Skanderbeg was Albanian - But not ethnically. Go ahead and read the geneology of Skanderbeg's family - It clearly says who his ancestors are. 'Tripalda' aka 'Triballi' was an informal name for Serbs during that era, that is proven countless times through Byzantine and Roman sources. I am too tired to go and post a million sources for that now. Sure live in the lie that all of Skanderbeg's family have Slavic names because that was the 'trend' ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) I'm not one of your retarded diaspora albanians to accept the fairy tales you pass off for history.

Gjergj Kastrioti (grandfather of skenderbeg) Gjon Kastrioti (father of skenderbeg) Gergj Kastrioti (skenderbeg) Gjon Kastrioti the second (son of skenderbeg) Gjergj Kastrioti the second ( grandson of skenderbeg).
Nothing Serbian or Greek on that.

Branilo (Skanderbeg's Grandfather)
John (Skanderbeg's father)
Vojislava (Skanderbeg's mother)
Stanisa, Repos, Konstantin, Vlajica, Jela, Mara (Skanderbeg's siblings)
No "Ilir", "Agron", "Genti" "Besim", nothing Shqiptar on that.

The correct Kastrioti family tree is the one that i posted above. Albanians to this day have a tradition of reviving our grandfather's name, so as you can see there is no Branilo. Ohh you might already know that. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Pal Kastrioti - Skanderbeg's grand father (Catholic) 100% albanian
Gjon Kastrioti = SKanderbeg's father (Catholic) 100% albanian
Vojsava Tripalda (Muzaka family) = Wife of Gjon Kastrioti(Born in southern albania 100% albanian woman bulgarian name)
Then the rest is invented BS. Whatever he names his kids it does not matter since they were all married to other royal families. Skanderbeg has nothing to do with Serbs. As a matter of fact he slayed serbs. Skanderbeg has nothing at all to do with greeks.

;D Grecian prince has nothing to do with Greeks !! = GO HOME !!! The Despotate of Epirus (Greek: Δεσποτάτο της Ηπείρου) was one of the medieval Greek successor states of the Byzantine Empire, founded in the aftermath of the Fourth Crusade in 1204. It claimed to be the legitimate successor of the Byzantine Empire, along with the Empire of Nicaea, and the Empire of Trebizond ![](http://www.promacedonia.org/en/dr/dr_map_05s.jpg) THE RISE OF ISKANDER by Benjamin Disraeli ![](http://www.prosopa.eu/images/person_full/skanderbeg.jpg) 2.1 "Iskander was the youngest son of the Prince of Epirus, who, with the other Grecian princes, had, at the commencement of the reign of Amurath the Second, in vain resisted the progress of the Turkish arms in Europe." 2.3 The despots of Bosnia, Servia, and Bulgaria, and the Grecian princes of Etolia, Macedon, Epirus, Athens, Phocis, Boeotia, and indeed of all the regions to the straits of Corinth, were tributaries to Amurat 2.4 His Turkish education could never eradicate from his memory the consciousness that he was a Greek 2.14 Had Iskander been influenced by vulgar ambition, his loftiest desires might have been fully gratified by the career which Amurath projected for him. The Turkish Sultan destined for the Grecian Prince the hand of one of his daughters, and the principal command of his armies. 3.12 A guard of honour, by the orders of Karam Bey, advanced to conduct Iskander to his presence; and soon, entering the pavilion, the Grecian prince exchanged courtesies with the Turkish general. 4.26 Soon the officer returned, and, ordering the guards to disarm and search Iskander, directed the Grecian Prince to follow him. 4.37 Iskander bowed lowly as the officer disappeared. 4.38 "And now," said Hunniades, "to business. Your purpose?" 4.39 "I am a Grecian Prince, and a compulsory ally of the Moslemin. We could continue with several identical quotes from Disraeli's book that clearly depict him as Hellinic.. I'll just add my favorite : 6.11 Troops of armed men were charging down the streets, brandishing their scimitars and yataghans, and exclaiming, "The Cross, the Cross!" "Liberty!" "Greece!" "Iskander and Epirus!" [/size]The townsmen recognised their countrymen by their language and their dress. The name of Iskander acted as a spell. They stopt not to inquire. A magic sympathy at once persuaded them that this great man had, by the grace of Heaven, recurred to the creed and country of his fathers. And so every townsman, seizing the nearest weapon, with a spirit of patriotic frenzy, rushed into the streets, crying out, "The Cross, the Cross!" "Liberty!" "Greece!" "Iskander and Epirus!" Ay! even the women lost all womanly fears, and stimulated instead of soothing the impulse of their masters. They fetched them arms, they held the torches, they sent them forth with vows and prayers and imprecations, their children clinging to their robes, and repeating with enthusiasm, phrases which they could not comprehend Source: www.ibiblio.org/disraeli/iskander.pdf
