A gunman opened fire inside a bus carrying U.S. servicemembers at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany, today, killing two members of the U.S. Air Force, a U.S. official said. One of the dead was the bus driver. Two other American servicemembers were reportedly seriously injured in the incident. The servicemembers were not based in Germany but were transiting through, another U.S. official told ABC News. US Air Force in Britain says the slain airmen wre based in Britain. The incident remains under investigation and it is unclear if the shooting was related to terrorism. But Rep. Patrick Meehan, R-Pa., said at a House Homeland Security Committee hearing today that the shooting looks like it could be a terrorist attack. Meehan said he was briefed by his staff, who are continuing to collect information. It appears the gunman was on the bus when he began shooting. German police have arrested a 21-year-old suspect from Kosovo. Kosovo Interior Minister Bajram Rexhepi said the German police have identified the suspect as Arif Uka, a Kosovo citizen from the northern town of Mitrovica, according to the Associated Press. "This is a devastating and a tragic event," Rexhepi said. "We are trying to find out was this something that was organized or what was the nature of the attack." The names of the deceased are being withheld until 24 hours after notification of next of kin. abcnews.go.com/Politics/american-air-force-members-killed-bus-frankfurt-airport/story?id=13037467bre na ka turprur nje ga tonit ...na ka ngjyr me boj te keq *memir neva ta vem kte lajm ...se ti presim armiket ta postojn kte

According to German police there was an argument on the bus which led to the shooting: '... Police said it appeared an argument had broken out on board the bus before the suspect opened fire. The dead soldier was found outside the bus, which had a US government licence plate marked "AF", for air force ...'Link: Frankfurt airport shooting: two killed in attack on US military bus www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/mar/02/frankfurt-airport-shooting

I haven't got a clue ... but if this is true than a terror attack is likely to be ruled out ... To me the incident does not look like a terror attack ... the shooter being on the bus and arguing with americans ... killing two but leaving the rest alive ... and what's more confusing, he ran away along the terminal, trying to save himself ... and then gave himself up to the police No way ... not a ''martyr's'' way ... This incident doesn't bear the hallmark of a terror attack

Is the story picking up steam in the US? I heard through a friend that he saw it on the news and that Obama made a comment on it, etc.

The US is considering withdrawing Kosovo's recognition. Just think of where the biggest US military base in Balkans is located and then think about your statement in that light.

As far as I am concerned Arif Uka is an enemy of the Albanian people

The attacker's family in northern Kosovo identified him as Arid Uka, whose family has been living in Germany for 40 years. This guy was born in Germany, his parents moved there 40 years ago. He has no Kosovar citizenship but a German one. I wonder how many generations does one have to live in Germany before he's considered just a German. From now on I guess we'll see Mesut Ozil to be referred as the "Ethnic Turk footballer Mesut Ozil." In Christian nations such as Greece, the Albanians are known to assault, rape and kill Christians, just recently Albanian Jihadists organized riots destroying Christian businesses. Since the 1990's Albanian immigrants have been conducting crimes such as hijacking buses and threatening to blow themselves up and by that killing innocent passengers. You sir are truly a moron, a credit to your "Christian Nation".

If Albanians try to claim a talent such as say Valon Behrami, the Swiss will tell you he's Swiss. Behrami was raised in Switerland and the institutions in Switerland made him what he is today. Fair enough I guess. But if Valon Behrami was a murderer, he's a Kosovar Albanian according to the Swiss. Ultimately you will never be one of "them." I think this applies to all Western countries even America.
