Your point is, and what is your interest for Tetovo? In the area 1991, watching at a time when Serbs were flexing their expansionist muscles. I was given an off the beaten path tour by a really cool Albanian woman. I enjoyed it there. Never really went into the town of Tetovo. Only the area between it and what is now the border of Kosovo.

Tetovo is going to get a big upgrade soon. There are two proposals. First one is this: And the other is this, with a skyscraper: And here is a video detailing it all:

Nikola - very nice to hear the upcoming 'facelift' to Tetovo; very impressive indeed. I guess Albanians there will truly have modern capital now; possibly a waste of money from the govt side as this area will become part of a federalized state and then split w/in 30yrs time.
Although Albanians from Macedonia are very much more civilized than the Kosovars, so maybe I'm wrong....

About time the gov't invests money else where besides Skopje and some slav cities...
These albanian cities don't get any funding at all. The town I come from the roads are a piece of shit.. They aren't straight and curved, they have potholes every other hole and it's pretty small, this is one of the main roads in the city...

Serbs don't turn the other cheek, they get even as Albanians do as well. That's why its become a vicious circle the last 130yrs. Macedonians on the other hand, well on avg we don't do jack squat in terms of being aggressive. Yes, there was the Ljuboten incident back in 01', but overall you didn't see a mass exodus of Albanians from Tetovo. My grandparents who lived in one of the Tetovo villages were packing to vacate their village with the Red Cross's help, until the Macedonian Army came and stationed themselves there.
I'm proud of the fact that Macedonians don't have a revengful mentality. In the end that's much better for the soul instead killing a bunch of you now just because my greatgreatgrandfather Krsto was butchered by Albanians. Nothing is worth my soul going to hell for eternity, especially when your conscious mind know's right from wrong and you're aware of God's word.
Take all you want out of Macedonia, Kosovo and South Serbia...at the end those lands stay but we go!

They aren't straight and curved, they have potholes every other hole and it's pretty small, this is one of the main roads in the city... To be fair, there are still roads like that in the middle of Skopje too. I'm originally from Skopje, and the street that my house is on, to this day, is a dirt road. There has been virtually no investment in anything until the last two-three years. Just be patient, it's all happening. Btw, I like the look of this new Tetovo plan. I hope they go with the second proposal, the one with the skyscraper.

That is some ugly architecture. Judging from the post-modern looks of that junk you would think the inhabitants of Tetova are among the most progressive citizens of this planet, which is obviously not the case. At least the wannabe ancient Greek look of Shkup's facelift has a base in an actual civilization, this stuff here is just crap. People making these decisions should really know their place in the world. What the hell is wrong with some nice solid buildings of a modest European model?

Ljubotan, when in peaceful times Serbs have always behaved a lot more civil towards Albanians than Macedonians have. I've heard plenty of stories to confirm this. Yes the Serbs can be ultra brutal but somehow it seems the most vile denouncing of Albanians comes from these western Bulgarians. Macedonians basically behave like perpetual ottomanized peasants with a deep-seated grudge. You are correct about the lack of backbone, which is why Macedonians are all about giving low-blows.

While I agree with you about the ugly look of modern architecture, I wonder what you think of Tirana's new city square and surrounding buildings? It's all being designed in a completely modern style too, just like Tetovo.

Although Albanians from Macedonia are very much more civilized than the Kosovars, so maybe I'm wrong.... Well I hear the slavs in macedonia aren't as barbaric as the slavs in Serbia.. All brave AND civilized nations in history WERE BARBARIC. Ancient Greeks, Spartans, Vikings, Japanese, etc... Severity, accuracy, performance and cruelty go hand-in-hand. OTOH asiatic people (albanians, turks, etc...) show more tolerance and may look "kind" at times, when in reality they are cowards digging your grave behind your back. If there was NO Greek civil war, then the TRUE greeks would kick the ass of any makedon (greek wanna bes) and every Roman, ANYWHERE, anytime... Greeks had stronger souls, and sharper brains, better engineers and better scientists and better soldiers. BUT the peloponesean civil war cost them the LIFE OF HELLENISM. They were suicidal and now we pay the price... PS anyways, sad truth is that my wife from Bosanska Krajna think that all Srbijanci are ... Greeks and not so str8, proud and direct as the Bosnian Serbs. (i didn;t ask her where was her grandpa in 1917 when Srbiancji lost 50% of the male population to free the .... proud Bosnian Serbs from the Austrohungarians....) Also i dint as why the other proud Bosnian grandpa went to work in Serbia....

Sometimes, but not lately.
A threat from afar, all the way from Australia.. my my. Why would you write something that you clearly wouldn't have the balls to say in real life!? Your behavior is typical of a swamp rat.
Pazar, it appears that your ass kisser tendencies are deeply rooted in your heart. I must say, in moments like these I'm absolutely thrilled that you've chosen NOT to identify as a Bulgarian.
