You asked a silly question and you got a silly reply.
Your original question seems faulty in a couple of ways. First, it's a leading question and limits the debate. Second, it sounds like you already have a pre-conceived date (and agenda) in mind, and are only tauntingly seeking confirmation. Then, it's not really clear what you are asking about: are you asking when did the Albanian nation come into existance or when the Albanian ethnicity was formed?
Why do you "really need to know"?

i don't really understand why this would cause problems... and we all know that the albanian nation came into existance in 1912...

No I do not know, but I would like to. Is that ok with you?
When are the Albanians first mentioned?
(simple one-liner question, which in turn should have a simple one-liner answer) - Why the confusion?

Go tell your fellow serbs to reopen this dudes topic where he asked a simple question. Stop crying Kolonia, the fact you cannot answer this simple question and immediatly resort to insults and off-topic convo's tells me you have no clue and are desprete to hide it. It's ok bro, I have nothing against you personally besides the fact I think you're a lil bitch but that doesn't bother me, b/c you have only exposed this further yourself here. I will ask again; When are the Albanians first mentioned?

Around 150 AD in Ptolemy's Geographia. Seriously, this was the answer I was looking for, and it is the correct answer imo. However, albanians always choose to go onto offensive instead of telling this:)

Well always being under attack can make some people defensive. There are a lot of clowns on here who are just pure racists.

^Albanopolis (right around present day Dibra) is mentioned as the main town of the Albanoi (Illyrian tribe). The only way is if you connect the Albs with Illyrians, which itself is a weak argument. This one connection is all the evidence you have of being Illyrian. There is not even a language connection, nevermind culture. A previous poster here posted linguistic examples, comparing the Illyrian language to other languages of the Balkans. The Albanian language itself is most distant to Illyrian.

This thread was not an attack, some Albs here took it as so b/c they didn't have an answer or maybe b/c they just love to troll. Sure there's racists here, but I personally have my own way of dealing with them, lol.

This connection isn't sufficient and again, is the only argument you have. What makes the Albanian language so different from the Illyrian language and why?
