Komiti zname, na zapad veat, I pesna peat, i pesna peat, Znameto nashe, vo dve boi, Crveno crno, na zapad stoi, Crvenoto e, za krvta vrela, Za Makedonski gradovi sela, A crnoto e, za toj sto zali, Za Gocevite ideali, Vardar ale ale ale Izlezi momce pravo na terasa, I pozdravija Gocevata rasa, Krenete race visoko gore, Nase ke bide i Solunsko pole, Aallleee aaallleee.... Napred Vardar, samo napred, Tamu kaj, sto igras ti, Bilo koga, bilo kade, So tebe se Komiti... i almost understand this form of south serbian dialect, but i disagree about "Solunsko pole". If it ever becomes slavic, it will be named "Solunsko Polje", but i doubt Serbs have negative feelings for Greeks.

... Izlezi momce pravo na terasa, I pozdravija Gocevata rasa, Krenete race visoko gore, Nase ke bide i Solunsko pole, Aallleee aaallleee.... ... this is just another example of stealing by the Yugomacedonians. The original is a Serbian song, by Tonny Montano (" Hajde, Slušaj Ovaj CD"), the song is called "Mi Smo Šampioni" ('We are champions') and its text is: Pune tribine ludih navijaca i baklje svetle ceo Balkan gori, bubnjevi tutnje i pesma se ori, umrite gnjide mi smo sampioni. Izadji momce pravo na terasu pa pozdravi nasu Srpsku rasu, dignimo ruke zapevajmo svima cuvaj se njofra najvise nas ima OLE OLE OLE OLE OLE, i.e. Go out, boy, on the terrace and salute our Serbian race, which has been substituted by the Yugomacedonians with: " Go out, boy, straight on the terrace, and salute the race of Goce [Delchev]", "the race of Goce Delchev" !?, what am auwful and clumpsy expression. The clip of Tonny Montano:

this is just another example of stealing by the Yugomacedonians. You're just being silly. We lived under the same country for decades. There was no stealing, it was encouraged that what was ours was yours, and vice versa. So of course there was some influence and adaptation.

I don't follow basketball but it's exciting when your own people do well in something. There were some big welcome home celebrations for the team in Skopje.
Look at how many people there are.

some macos were speaking in an accent clearly more distant & bulgarian-like (like the commentator), while a few people interviewed had clear serbian accents.
do you think normal people on the street would understand me if i spoke serbian to them?

do you think normal people on the street would understand me if i spoke serbian to them? Yes, of course. I can understand Serbian and my only exposure to the language was Lepa Brena movies and Branko Kockica. Lol, I remember watching his show as a kid when it was Yugoslavia. Btw, the reporter doesn't sound more Bulgarian, she sounds the same as all the other people talking.

Look at how many people there are. Anyone else notice that the basketball players aren't massively towering over all the people in the crowd? The people on the left of the screen are standing on the steps of the fountain (and so are the players at the start) so they look taller, but the people on the right are the same level towards the end of the video and they blend in well. Btw, look at all those Macedonian faces in the crowd. I'm not seeing many Turkish or Bulgarian looking people. A few yes, but most no.

Megalithic means made of stone doesn't it? This statue is bronze I think. But it is HUGE. Seeing it with all those people below gives a good sense of scale.
Btw, don't worry about people not understanding you in Ohrid. I'd say that 90% of the people you will come across there will be Serbs. It's a very popular tourist destination and the locals are used to dealing with other Yugo people. They even play Serb music in restaurants and clubs. You will feel right at home.

it can also mean overwhelmingly massive, which that structure unequivocally is.
90% of the people in ohrid are serbs? lots of serbs with vikendicas?

Well, 90% of the tourists I mean. Maybe I'm exaggerating but it felt like it. Either way, you will have no communication problems.

Yep, plenty. My cousin goes 3 times per year at least. And I saw some Albanians too. Even Greeks visit apparently. It's a nice place. You should visit Skopje too. It's still under construction but it already looks good.

(Devojce od makedonce ;D). that's good because i really enjoy more places with a bit more of a mix, like budva, which i enjoyed way more than where i usually go (herceg-novi)

It's an ideal place to meet girls. There is a big university in Ohrid so a lot of girls from all over Macedonia that are in their late teens and early 20's stay in Ohrid. Also, Makedonki normally like Serbs so you should have a fair chance.
Maybe you should pm ULF because he is a Serb and he stayed in Ohrid recently. He can give you all the details better than me.
