German Chancellor Angela Merkel says a peaceful Kosovo is a priority for Pristina and Belgrade. Germany says that Kosovo and Serbia must resolve their differences and produce a peaceful solution for the northern part of Kosovo, a scene of recent clashes between NATO peacekeepers and Serb demonstrators. German Chancellor Angela Merkel called upon both Pristina and Belgrade to make concessions and try to find a political solution through dialogue for the volatile north of Kosovo. www.balkaninsight.com/en/article/german-chancellor-merkel-visits-kosovo

Tocna No it wasn't me lol but the guy raised a good point. If peace is the goal she should have the cahones to face the Serbs in Kosovo, whether it be the North or whatever I thought Kosovo/whole was its' own state. Obviously she cannot face them cause she knows she's wrong on every account. At least she should face the Serbs and explain the position and try to get willingfull compliance, but it should be obvious to everyone that this is not the point. You know s**t is backwards when you have Germans dictating in foreign lands under the premise of "peace and stability". no offence to ulf.

That's not the point. The EU obviously knows about the disatisfaction amongst Serbs, more specifically the Kosovo Serbs. If they want us to join EU and be on such "friendly" terms, they should try to to settle this through direct dialogue. How come they haven't even tried to explain their stance directly to the K. Serbs? One would think that they would try to sway us (since all this is apparently justified) and get willingfull compliance from the Serbs.
If all this is temporary, make it clear to the Serbs so they can leave the KFOR alone and let them continue their duty. Serbs in Kosovo have zero-assurace as to what the hell is going on. They don't trust anyone, or they would be smart not to trust anyone.
I now think in the long run this is just stalling the resolution, the Serbs don't know this yet cause nobody is making that clear. Eventually we all know what will happen in the North why such complications from KFOR/EU? ... we'll have to wait and see.

Tadic doesn't have say in Kosovo, I thought you'd be the first to say it. The EU/KFOR is there, and the ones' calling the shots. Tadic is irrelevent when it comes to these matters, he has failed too many times.

anyways we are discussing people stuck in a dilemma that is entirely caused by there own doings .... and you know it
beside more than 1/2 them K srbs in Mitrovica area dont belong there in the first place thats why I am a advocate of checking and investigation where they are originally from most likely prior troublemakers from bosnia and croatia and besides Milosevic's jailed serbs he pardoned if they moved to Kosova
like those Bridge watchers they had ....ex-paramilitary in civilian close

2%-3% of the total population (N Mitrovica k-srbs)will not dictate to a country
so they should calm down and relax take a breather and work and live like everyone else ,,they have their language schools and representation in the government
and like I keep saying .....more representation ,jobs, benefits than the rest of other nationalities if you go by percentage ...they were gifted by Pristina
like the 5% serbians that dictated to 95% Albanian Kosova .....never again

About 70% if not more of the Albanians in Kosovo do not belong there, while expelling 100's of thousands of native Serb families. Many entered illegally before, during and after the war after Serbs reclaim Kosovo you'll be pay reparation taxes for the mess you caused.

If you're talking about KLA soldiers dressed in civilians clothing, then the Serbs did their job. Other than that, your statement(s) makes no sense.

I posted this in another thread This ^ is to get a better idea and a good example of how the Serbs made their mistakes. Malcolm X understood very well how the media industry works, he was openely speaking about the viscious tactics the media uses.

I am not playing the victim. It's pretty obvious to a level-headed person that the media played games to counter the Serbian stance, even tho much of the Serbian stance was justified.
Serb families who fell victim to attrocities barely if never got any airtime, anyone who spoke out on their behalf got silenced. Look up Major Lewis Mackenzi, he did a lot for Serbs all over the world when he was one of the first to defy the agenda and speak out publicly on the bulls**t the masses were being fed.
The guys is a hero and not just for Serbs everywhere but for his cause being a UN-General peacekeeper. He represented his position the way every peacekeeping mission should be.
