The point is to strengthen Serbia/Serbs position, with 99.7% voting for what was expected. I think it was a waste of time anyone who knows anything about the situation there already should know what their position is. I think partition is in view again, tho I never supported it to begin with but maybe it has come to that.
from the same link;
Analysts say the referendum demonstrates that the Kosovan government does not control the whole of its territory [AFP]
That's one point they managed to get across.

I see I've been made mod of this forum, why? Anyways UZ, that's what I'm getting at. It's known that the Serbs of north want nothing to do with with an Albanian run Kosova. Not many areas of the world are in a position to piss away funds.

How much did the whole thing cost do you know? I know Belgrade didn't fund it.

^I have no idea. But it's still a waste regardless. I think the protests, roadblocks were enough of an indicator. I've stated all along the north for Presheva and lets move forward in peace. Rexhep Qosja just advocated for this to happen. Whatever he says is good for me.

Since the serbs there want to be a part of Serbia i say we should make a deal by letting them have that part of territory and the rest of Kosova to join Mother Albania.

^Along with Presheva valley. My views on this might be actually a bit too kind. Who knows how many of these Serbs are actually from Serbia proper just stirring up trouble.

I don't like this whole "ethnic" borders. The Balkans is too mixed for that.

Are not KAlbanians trying to separate based on ethnicity? KAlbanians want to get too much without any compromise.

My proposals:
1. Northern Kosovo should have opportunity to function de-facto and de-jure as part of Serbia with Serbian institutions and police. I don't know if it will decide to execise its right or not, but it should have this opportunity.
2. a) Southern Serbian enclaves should have opportunity to become little independent Vaticans (or part of Serbia). After Serbia makes sure Southern Serbian enclaves have their future and people stop leaving them, Serbia will recognise Kosovo (which could change its name to sound more Albanian).
or
2. b)Southern Serbian enclaves function as part of Kosovo. After KSerbs and Serbia are convinced that Kosovo is common Albanian/Serbian territory (not Albania II) where Serbian people could live in safety throughout all the region and where Serbian refugees could return, Serbia will recognize Kosovo as Serbian/Albanian state.
2. c)Kosovo could function as part of Serbia under international guarantees and supervision and in presentce of international peacekeepers.
3. RS in Bosnia should have rights for referendum for independence from Bosnia with possble reduction of territory as a compensation.

Bingo ! that's why I am an advocate for proper identification/background check of everybody ...especially the northern part of kosova ....you will find many that are not born in Kosova or kosovo
