Happy Independence Day my fellow countrymen, my brothers and sisters!
I cannot express my own excitement. My joy. I was watching the celebrations that are going on in Prishtina, and then those going on in Tirana. Many of our brothers from Albania are crossing the border to celebrate with us. I was moved to the point of tears. And then imagine the party which will go on this day, 17th of February! This is the happiest day of my life!
Rroftë Kosova e pavarur! Kosova republikë! Rroftë mbarë kombi shqiptar!

If you spend the happiest day of your life in a forum, I hope not to see how one of your bad days looks like.

Ce mai face, vãr?
Wrongly formulated. It will be the happiest day! It's still night you know. But unfortunately, you're not without point. I would have prefered to be in Kosova at this moment, celebrating with my fellow countrymen there.
But I am nevertheless happy. So any sarcastic comments from your side will be forgiven Anittas .... nothing can ruin my mood now. I hope you Vlach cousins can feel with us ;D

Good, Donnie. You should be learning your ancestral language. I've checked on Yahoo, BBC, and Reuters, but they don't seem to mention anything about the declaration. You know, the American declaration was well formulated and was produced by a group of idealistic and intelligent men. I can only hope that your Thaci dude will accomplish a fraction of what those great men did. May I ask you how Thaci declared his independence? Did he write a letter in the fashion of Thomas Jefferson's Declaration of Independence and sent it to the Serbian president? It would have been a profund thing to do. If he had employed me to be the PR officer, I would have made a declaration that Hollywood would swarm to your newfound country to make movies about.

Funny. I thought it was Romanian which was got Latinized, not Albanian As I said, I'll forgive your sarcasm, cousin! LOL, ok. I don't know. Probably in a ceremony in the kuvend, our parliament. We'll see in due time. Only a matter of hours left. Patience.

So he hasn't declared it, yet? So what are we celebrating, then? The waiting time? I just hope it will be a decent declaration. From the little I saw of him, he's not exactly a Cicero. His voice has a peculiar deep tone, as if he was having a cold. I've noticed that with several Albanias. I think it may have to do with them putting on an effort to sound as men, so they force their vocals to go deeper than what their nature allows.
Let's hope for the best.

Or maybe that's just how we sound; like men ;D Actually, it can be explained by the fact that the Albanian dialect of Kosova is a little rougher than that of Albania. The tone, combined with the manner in which we speak, gives the impression of very masculine voices. I take that as a compliment, and confirm what you've said (meaning I've concluded the same thing). We are celebrating independence day. The manner in which it will be declared at 15:00, is a surprise I reckon. Even better. And yes, we all hope it will be a decent declaration. LOL. A Demosthenes then?

Kasso's link to the video proves my point. What are those vibrations that come out of your vocal cords? It's as if a scientist managed to record a communication between whales, and tunes up the volume so we can comprehend the noise. It's scary.

this song will be played officially when Kosova proclaims independence Well, that's gonna be a declaration to remember. I can see it in front of me: Here's something else I found on YouTube: the way Albanians supposedly celebrate their freedom. It's one thing to do it to yourself, and quite another thing to do it to children. I guess we won't be seeing any of this:

Oh come on Anittas --- one could almost mistake you for a Serb. Aren't you a little happy for us? And no, 'we' don't celebrate like that; most in that video were middle-easterners. Look at SVT tomorrow in order to see how we celebrate.

Here, in a remote part of Denmark, not too far from Copenhagen, I hear fireworks. It must be the Kosovars celebrating the momentum of arriving independence. I guess I'm a little happy, for your own sake, but the declaration won't be anything like the American one. www.ushistory.org/declaration/document/

It cannot be like the American one. But I am sure that the declaration has the American blessing, and they have put a lot of work in it. The declaration will be read by Mr. Krasniqi and not Thaçi.
