UZ bro, it depends on the view you see it... deep inside slavic is like either is there or does not exist... and it is a very strong property.... Listen to a non-slav... I see Serbia and Bulgaria being different states for 1500 years, and still the average BOSNIAN can communicate with the average EASTERN bulgarian with no problem.. Slavdom is smth bigger than blood... blood is a minor detail... I know what you mean Pyros but there's a HUGE "but". I have been to a few Slavic countries other than the former-Yugo states. I have seen more simmiliarities with Czechs and Slovaks, than I see with Russians. With Bulgarians especially I see we have much in common. In my opinion it is the Russians who are trying to be "more-Slavic". I notice this personally with Russians I meet time to time who find out I'm Serb. They assume automatically some spiritual/cultural connections, in their tongue they say; Comrades. Look at Putin himself, with his tiny asiatic eyes and short stature....

"Serbs are so easily fooled by lip-service to the great pan-slavic brotherhood; in reality, there is only power and money, and what money can buy." Not necessarily correct, Albanians want to expand her terrority via the US and Serbs want to preserve territory via Russia. RD isn't completely wrong. It would be very easy for Russia to take advantage of Serbia/Serbs, playing with our "hearts" and desires so to speak. Big words, little action. What gets me mad is when people over exagerate the Russian element in when they "backed" us up during the wars. Not to say that they should've done more, but more wasn't done and this is credit they take.

What gets me mad is when people over exagerate the Russian element in when they "backed" us up during the wars. Not to say that they should've done more, but more wasn't done and this is credit they take. Thanks UZ Albanians can clearly see that they owe the US a great deal. We know that if it hadn’t been for U.S. President Wilson and his insistence on “self-determination of small nations” Albania could have easily ended up on the chopping block as European powers had planned for in the Paris Peace Conference. USA intervention in Kosovo is yet another example. But we are not fools not to see where the power lies and where orders come from in the “relationship”. The US has backed Albania because it serves its national interests. Serbs, on the other hand, like to believe that they have a special relationship with Russia. You want to believe that they are helping you, indeed you might be owed the help, because you are all Slav brothers; as if you were the spear tip of the Slavic Orthodox Brigade. And, I am telling you, that Russia only cares about her national interests. If Russian interests are served by backing up Serb interests than that’s how it goes down; but if Russian interests are better served by stirring up discontent, by letting you hang to dry while offering sympathies and hints of future unlimited support, then by god that’s how it’s going to be. I believe that’s called getting f**ked. www.reuters.com/article/2011/03/21/us-serbia-russia-usa-idUSTRE72K2UP20110321Russia is playing on Serbia's mistaken belief that it is still a key player in the power dynamic with the West to draw the country's focus away from joining the EU and NATO, U.S. diplomats have concluded. ………………………………………………………….. The "nostalgia for being courted by both Russia and the West remains a part of Serbia's yearning for self-importance and leads to a mistaken belief that it can chart an independent path while still committing to EU membership as a strategic objective," an embassy official wrote in May 2009. …………………………………………………………… "The Russians appear to be basking in their 'Serbia's Savior' role, using the tenth anniversary of the NATO intervention in Kosovo as an opportunity to raise their public profile in Serbia and cast the U.S. and other Western partners in a negative light," one cable concluded at around the same time two years ago. …………………………………………………………. “Serbs and Russians are profoundly ignorant of each other, the former from a lack of any real interaction throughout history, and the latter out of utter lack of interest; other than Serbia's periodic usefulness as a naive and willing Russian pawn in the Balkans," one official wrote in 2009. www.reuters.com/article/2011/03/21/us-serbia-russia-usa-idUSTRE72K2UP20110321

Well RD looks like the puzzle has been solved.... tho it may have taken a bit too long... USA is working with Albanians sticly because it serves their interests. Russia is working with Serbs stricly because it serves their interests. There is no difference. Balance of power? America is the "bad-guy", in this sense it very easy to appear to be the "good-guy". East vs. West What's the lesser of two evils? From a Serb-perspective Russia would be the choice. For Albanians it is the USA. I don't want to get into this debate but think for moment Americans' track record compared to Russia. Russia's issues are mostly internal (corruption/mafia etc..) America has not only internal issues (sociological/economical/corruption) but they're also creating issues abroad (sociological/economical/corruption/instability/warfare). Point is, we're two guys outside of the Balkans viewing these events from a foreign perspective. In this case, its easier to see things others' (in the Balkans) don't. Putin is right, they want to create a Uni-polor world, ONE system, ONE authority and ONE master. Who wants this? Who are the Americans or anyone in the EU to say what our Balkan children should be learning in school? How we should make our Rakija? Introducing taxes/new insurance policies that are completely foreign to our people. ... what is this? They are invading our cultures.

Nationalism is key. Real Nationalism. The love of culture, identity and mother-land.
EVERYONE from ANYWHERE has this right.
With nationalism, we learn to love other nationalities = mutual respect.
Unfortunately nationalism has shapeshifted into fascism for many. The imposition of political ideals. Ideals that do not belong, bc it's not natural to the nations' people.
I know my Balkan people, and I know no matter what the media says or what other hot heads try to sprew that all of us all want the same thing. We want a country we can call home, under our own rules to be completely soverign, runned by our own.
Greater Serbia vs Greater Albanian ------ What's the difference?
Why do Albs attack Serbs on this when they support it for their own efforts? Or vise-versa.
See the game? I know you do. They're f**king with us with the same methods we used on ourselves.

UZ brato. Let me remind you that the sips of Kosovo and Metohija have been let down twice so far. The first is at the beginning of the 20th Century, with the dismantling and the fall of the Otoman Empire. The second was the distraction and the fall of the third Reich (the nazis). On both occasions the sips of Kosmet chose to be the best servants of the Invaders and did the job of the latter. Now, we have the same history and game to be repeated again.
I tell you one thing brave (trust me), it won't be long when we shall witness the fall of the scums of Kosovo under the feet of the serbian horses in the battle between the righteous native serbs and the yankee invaders together with their puppet sips. America in is the Balkans only for one thing, to rip the benefits of the segregated parties. Divide and conquer! There is one loser in here, and it is the weaker one, the sips.

I disagree. In situations like this there is no winner/stronger or weaker. We're different people being played. Serbs lost a lot already, so how do you see that we will "win"? :::::::::
Albs listens to USA/NATO and EU.
Serbia listens to USA/EU and somewhat Russia.
... neither one nor the other are making any on decisions on their own accord.
We got ONE player playing with both the Black and White pawns on the chessboard. How do you think things will turn out?

"USA is working with Albanians sticly because it serves their interests." "Russia is working with Serbs stricly because it serves their interests." UZ, this is what l was getting at above when l was replying to RD. USA's policy is STRICTLY business while Russia's is business with a pinch of a slavic sympathy. UZ, l would be a blind numskull to believe Russia has purely slavic sympathies for Serbs and they are compromising their position for us. Russia realises the geopolitical position of Serbia, she also realises if she loses Serbia, she has lost the Balkans etc....UZ, why do you think Russia is defending Syria with so much passion in the UN? Its because Russia could end up LOSING her Naval port in Syria What are we Serbs supposed to do, not to ally ourselves with Russia and let Albanians take full advange with the west. Everything that is going on is a mutual partnership, we with Russia as the solution and Albanians with USA. I can gurantee that if Russia defeats USA over Kosovo, it doesn't even matter if there is 10million Albanians in that tiny region, they will be PI$$ing off out of there.

We have many similarities. We come from the same non-slavic stock (arbano-greko-vlahs as i would put it collectively) and we both see the life and power of the slavs in our ex-slav dominated homelands. The disappearnce of the slavs from greece and albania was the result of foreign intervention.

UZ, mark my words. It won't be long the day the sips will leave Kosovo and Metohija. But this time there will be no place for them nor in Albania neither in any part of the Balkans. USA will abandon them and they will be forgotten. As for the serbs, do not forget that Serbia is still strong and its nation has the pride and glory, above all they stand above all other Balkans nation for their virtue of freedom not bowing to any foreign invaders army. If the serbs believe in themselves (as they do so far) then the glory is not far away. That is all i can say.

Being albanian does not mean i have to agree and obey every pathetic illusion about the region or the national view. As a civilized law abiding citizen, living in the 21 century i do not feed myself with foolish mentality that only a spastic child will do. I believe in law and order, i believe on what's right and what's wrong. I believe that in front of God we are the same and down to Earth we are different and, albanians with kosovans are different, not the same and not one. I am free to my opinion and i am free of the pathetic albanianism created upon a shamble ideology hence, the national hero was a slav. Altogether stinks of sh it. As this ideology has created only retards, only poverty in History and in the normal daily life. I want a free and Peaceful Balkans as it was before, when the slavs ruled it. All our ancestors are of slavis orgine, as well as that we are all mixed and does not exists such as a pure blood and if it does, it is only the slavic blood as Pyrro mentions it. God bless all the peaceful nations and the people whom think straight and forward. I am a peaceful moslem, in Peace with myself and in Peace with everyone. All entire my life my best friends were and are from the Orthodox religion, be they serbs, bulgarians or Ukrainians. My religion teaches me to be in Peace with every human beings. But until now the sips of Kosovo and Metohija have not shown to be humans. The same issue stands for every scisofrenic who joins the retardic en block.

If you were in our possition we would have raped you and send back in siberia As about the glory and pride of serbians, just take a look at your battle! YOU ARE THE ONLY NATION IN THE WORLD THAT CELEBRATES THE LOST BATTLES!

Serbs should ALWAYS be careful with the Russians, especially when they do us "favors". When I say nationalism needs to happen, I do not mean segregation. Nationalist nations can always work well with other nationalist nations. Check Serbia's relationship with Lybia (a muslim country), they helped armed the Serbs in Bosna and Ghadaffi himself sent mercenaries to support us. Serbia and Lybia for example, are two nations of people who are proud of their heritage, religion and culture and what a beautiful relationship our two peoples had/have. --- times have changed I know, but consider this. No nation should segregate themselves to work with only those "simmiliar" to them, culturally speaking. Nationalism is about love, not hate.

I understand this, and good for them because they got an answer. In the near future the BRIC nations will be dictating the functions of Global Security, we must wait and see. America's future doesn't look too bright and I don't mean this in an "anti" way at all, remember we have many brothers and sisters in America who will probably suffer as well when devastation hits them. So let's be careful what we wish for.
