this pic has been on BBC Europes' homepage for months now... It is a shame how Europe has turned their back on Greece, regardless of how/when/what happened the European Union has proven to be just about Banks and not people. European family my ass.

Well I don't feel that way, they practically wiped 120 billion of our books... it's time we do something..they are helping but we too need to do something. Not to change the subject when Greece won the Euro 2004 they were given 50 million e to invest into soccer..guess what not one penny went for that reason.... this madness has to stop.

There is a long list of austerity measures the EU (oh wait, I mean Germany) want the Greek people to adhere to. But none are directed at the politicians, like cracking down on political corruption or slashing their salaries. Are the Greek politicians exempt?

It's funny how the media twists everything around. I did not see any lines of people waiting to get breakfast at any soup kitchen, nor did I see Greeks begging. There were many gypsy beggars but that has always been a common site in Greece, even when I was a little boy. I took this photo of the poster on a pole near the Agora in Athens. Isn't that the truth!

greeks outside urban areas are pretty much loaded, they stocked up on subsidy money and have put away a good chunk of cash for a rainy day, the only issue is how long will those savings hold up, its a crisis of confidence, no liquidity = no growth, no growth = stagnation, stagnation = savings depleted, things need to turn around sooner than later, gotta attract them foreign investors,
the plight of the greek is blown out of proportion in the media certainly, they paint this picture of apocalypse but then again, a friend of mine living in greece tells me that greek hospitals are running out of anasthetics and other esential medicine, i hear many other things and stories of hardship, hard to believe if you ask me, i'll see it with my own eyes soon so i'll believe it when i see it.

they dont count historical achivments
they count a BIG down in greeks economic (not how whelty people are) (example of USA) how many dies on the streets they have biggest economic in the world
and they inmidiatly act to stop this
and every big company works this way down on income means catastrophe even if they stil earn couple bilion...
