simple : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre%C5%A1evo_ValleyThe Preševo Valley (Serbian: Прешевска долина, Preševska dolina, Albanian: Lugina e Preshevës) is an area composed of the municipalities of Bujanovac, Preševo and Medveđa. Geopolitically, the region is the center of the Albanian community in Serbia with Albanians comprising 89% of Preševo, 54.6% of Bujanovac and 36% of Medveđa.[ in Albanian the area is referred to as the "Preševo valley" (Lugina e Preshevës) or simply "the valley". Among Albanians common is also the term eastern Kosovo, which makes reference to the removal of the area from Kosovo and its incorporation into Serbia after WWII. Because of Albanian demands for territorial autonomy, the parallel Serbian term "Preševska dolina" is somewhat politically loaded. In Serbian official statements, the area is usually referred to as the territory of municipalities of Preševo and Bujanovac and also Medveđa, but only when denoting political context of the region. In 1938, during the colonisation of Kosovo, Preševo was designated in the Turko-Yugoslav Convention as one of the areas whose population would be forced to migrate to Turkey. Until the end of WWII the region was part of Kosovo. Seeking to maintain under Serb rule the road and rail routes that passed through the region and also control Albanian nationalists, the Yugoslav government separated the valley from Kosovo and included it in Serbia. During the Kosovo War six to eight thousand ethnic Albanian refugees left the area. The reguees reported that they were being conscripted and Serbian paramilitaries were trying to force them into military barracks.

yes ....we are waiting
Our leaders are not calling for anything ...
The callers are a few serbians that live in preshev that are crying to have their way with much noise at the expense of the world to see how serbia reacts ...and here your troops are waiting
think about it ...a lil monument causes all this ruckus ...how ridiculous

if that monument is touched I fear for serbian monuments in Kosova we pray .... Serbia is waiting for that line to be crossed at that right time, right now the West has officially shown Serbia the Albanians are on their own. You give reasons for Serbia to invade based on Balkan security and regional stabilization they'll do it. Think about it since day one it only makes sense that they would have devised plans for invasion despite knowing when. Military presence is heavy in that zone and the majority is the UN, EU troops, aside from them Serbia has the biggest presence and the internationals are planning to leave soon.

If you understood the legal grounds of the matter you would maybe see where I am coming from and know there's reason. Serbia cannot do anything for as long as the internationals are stationed in Kosovo. The moment the resolution gets thrown out the window Serbia gains more legitemacy. This is also when the internationals leave and when the Albanians will increase their attacks against Serbs. Giving us the Green Light, as we expected.
