the serbs would not dare do such thing in the past ...
I remember how it was in Novi Sad I was there in 1970 as a kid and even in 1987 no such thing would even be dreamed of
very much populated by outside serbs in the last 30 some years
I guess they should of had the law of residency like Slovenia had where others were allowed to visit, work and stay all they want but never gain residence status ,smart them Slovenes

SNS launches motion for elections in VojvodinaNOVI SAD - The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) launched a motion in Novi Sad on Sunday so as to gather signatures of support for the withdrawal of the declaration on the protection of constitutional rights of Vojvodina put forth by president of the Vojvodina government Bojan Pajtic, and it also calls for Pajtic's replacement and early elections in the province. The signing of the motion will be organised in all cities, villages and local communities in Vojvodina on Monday, Maja Gojkovic of the SNS presidency announced. The signing of the motion was organised by SNS so as to win the support of citizens for the propositions voiced at the protest in Novi Sad two days ago. The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) will continue conducting its political activities until new elections are called in Vojvodina, Chair of the SNS Vojvodina Board Dusan Bajatovic said on Sunday. We will persist until the removal of all those who made profit for years on end, both in economic and political terms, at the expense of Vojvodina's autonomy, and it was only them who had any profit out of it while citizens of Vojvodina only suffered harm, Bajatovic told Tanjug and added that SPS, its members and supporters would back and organise a civil initiative or a motion for the change of the Vojvodina government. Bajatovic called on president of the Vojvodina government Bojan Pajtic and speaker of the Vojvodina Assembly Istvan Pastor to 'withdraw the political pamphlet labelled declaration' and open a dialogue with the opposition so as to reach a political agreement and ensure that new elections are called in Vojvodina.Bajatovic said it is obvious that such a scenario of the Vojvodina administration is detrimental to the interests of Vojvodina citizens and constitutes an attempt of causing deep political splits and destabilisation of Serbia now that it needs unity the most. “If there is any sign of Europe in Serbia, then these can be seen in Vojvodina. With its mentality, culture, the quality of coexistence, religious and national tolerance, its wealth and hard-working people, Vojvodina has to be the pride and engine of Serbia and its development,” Bajatovic said. Leader of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) Vojislav Kostunica stated on Sunday that the undemocratic behaviour of the Vojvodina government and its president Bojan Pajtic is completely unacceptable and deserves to be condemned, adding that Pajtic should resign.Such undemocratic behaviour is an offence in every possible way to the people who called for Pajtic's resignation, Kostunica said. “Today everything can be targeted by criticism and protests can be staged against anything and anyone, but it seems the Vojvodina government and Bojan Pajtic are untouchable and only they represent a majority and irreplaceable govenrment,” Kostunica said in a written statement. “ The arrogant reactions of the Vojvodina government to the protest show that democracy does not apply when it comes to requests for a change of government in Vojvodina,” Kostunica said and recalled the numerous requests staged in Belgrade against various forms of government but it never occurred to anyone to deny the people the right to call for someone's resignation. Kostunica said that Pajtic should learn the first lesson of democracy, that every government is replaceable and this is why he should resign and show that he does not want the government to come in conflict with the will of the Vojvodina people and citizens. www.tanjug.rs/news/83892/sns-launches-motion-for-elections-in-vojvodina.htmYou know the Serbian Government is doing something right... Aleksandar Vucic being Serbia's best man... Clear proof that he is in fact Serbia's best man. Pissing off siptars is just part of the job.

You know very well that's not true. Albania's population has dropped consistently throughout the years while albanian populations in Greece and Kosovo only increased.
You guys aren't making babies as you like to think - this is just population movement. If you're theory was correct albania would be the most populas country in Balkan, but it's not - it's the least populated.

I won’t resign, provincial government head says Source: Beta NOVI SAD -- Bojan Pajtić has rejected requests to resign and to withdraw a draft declaration on Vojvodina’s rights.
Bojan Pajtić (Tanjug, file) The Vojvodina Executive Council president told Beta news agency that the draft declaration on protection of Vojvodina’s constitutional and legal rights would be on the agenda of Vojvodina Assembly’s Committee for Constitutional and Legal Affairs soon. “We cannot give up on asking that citizens get five times as much as funds than they are getting today, because this is how much belongs to them. It is more than ironic to accuse the Vojvodina government of not doing enough for the citizens in the province and that the economy in Vojvodina is suffering because of the provincial government. No, it is suffering because constitutional guarantees are not respected. And we will not give up protecting the rights of the citizens of Vojvodina,” Pajtić stressed.
He accused the Serbian government of using Vojvodina’s assets thanks to certain regulations.
Pajtić reiterated that there was not a single word in the declaration that called for separatism.
Commenting on graffiti that called for Vojvodina to become a republic, he stressed that neither the provincial government nor assembly advocated such ideas.
“In the draft declaration we only asked for constitutional protection for the financing of Vojvodina. We did not ask for any other power or a dinar more for Vojvodina and its citizens than what belongs to them according to the Constitution and the country’s existing laws,” he explained.
The Vojvodina Executive Council chairman rejected a possibility that the provincial government would fall, adding that it had a two-thirds majority in assembly.
“As long as it has support in assembly, that it got in the elections in a completely legal and legitimate way, the government in this form will exist and it will consist of parties that make it today. The opposition is aware too that there will be no early elections in the province,” he noted.
The Democratic Party (DS), League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV) and Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians (SVM) have the majority in Vojvodina’s assembly.

Vulin: Vojvodina's autonomy not in dangerBELGRADE - Head of the Serbian government office for Kosovo Aleksandar Vulin said on Monday Vojvodina's autonomy was not in danger, but the freedom of the individuals running Serbia's northern province. Those individuals are afraid of the results of the investigation in the activities of the Vojvodina Development Bank and are therefore trying to create a problem, he told TV Pink. "I cannot avoid linking the investigation regarding the Vojvodina Development Bank and the sudden political noise about the province's autonomy being threatened," he remarked. Raising the issue of Vojvodina during the talks on Kosovo is a shot in the back of the Belgrade negotiating team for the talks with Pristina, Vulin stated. The Serbs in Kosovo, who are at risk there, are greatly concerned over the latest events in Vojvodina, he added. It is completely incomprehensible for someone to describe as the same the position of the people in Vojvodina and those in Kosovo, while simultaneously demanding that Serbia give up Kosovo. "It is a clear message that if you do not agree to give something in return for nothing, we are going to turn Vojvodina into a political issue," he said. " Whenever Serbia is in trouble, someone appears to turn Vojvodina into a political issue," Vulin pointed out, adding that this time it was President of the Vojvodina Executive Council Bojan Pajtic. www.tanjug.rs/news/84011/vulin--vojvodinas-autonomy-not-in-danger.htmWestern meddling couldn't get more obvious.
