Russia to recognize Kosovo only if Serbia agrees - Putin 19:26 | 08/ 03/ 2008 NOVO-OGARYOVO, March 8 (RIA Novosti) - President Vladimir Putin said Saturday Russia could recognize Kosovo's independence only in line with international law, and if Serbia agrees to that. Asked at a press conference after a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel whether Russia could later recognize Kosovo's independence, Putin said: "This variant exists, but it lies in the framework of international law." He said it could happen "with consent of all parties, in this case, Serbia." "Should such a compromise be found, we will agree with it," the outgoing Russian leader said. Serbia's breakaway province of Kosovo unilaterally declared independence on February 17. So far over 25 states, including the United States, Australia, Japan and major European countries, have formally recognized the Republic of Kosovo. Belgrade has recalled its ambassadors from a number of countries recognizing Kosovo's independence. Russia has pledged to block any move by Kosovo to join the United Nations. en.rian.ru/world/20080308/100983311.htmlOhoh!! Putin is throwing the first salvo at Serbian radicals.. this is old but revealing of russia's vision of the balkans and where Putin wants to see serbia move to, letting go of Kosova. ;D

bah...you need some lessons on reading messages from serbia's boss. lolol Heck, why do you think the serbian govt collapsed? Messages like this from your russian boss says that Russia isn't going to back serbia forever. Serbia will have to compromise BECAUSE Putin and his russian people need to start making $$rubles off their investments. And, having serbia freeze Russia's profit ventures will only make that hungry russian bear furious at serbia. Serbia should take a hint...Russian boss Putin is telling you all to buckle up, suck up your loss and look forward to EU so, Russian biz tycoons can open their $$ faucets into their fat Swiss bank accounts. lol

Heck, why do you think the serbian govt collapsed? Because they could not agree (the members of government, ministers) if they should fight with guns against "independent" Serbian province Kosovo and Metohija or if they should fight peacefully with diplomatic weapons. Also joining EU has to do with it as well. Some of them would join and some of them would not. Definitely it did not collapsed because some of them would recognise "independent" Serbian province Kosovo and Metohija and some of them would not. There is only one thing where Serbian (ex) goverment was united and it is that Kosovo and Metohija are part of Serbia.

Because they could not agree Now, why couldn't they agree if they know Russia backs their moves 100000000000%..all the way? Because some in your govt know the opposite is true... Hence, Putin's salvo to his orphaned serbs.
