An Analysis of Teodora Toleva's studies explaining and documenting the factual historical data
of how and why Albania was created by the Austro-Hungarian empire and the Vatican.
It covers the Austro-Hungary's methods that they used to unify various tribes of different ethnic
backgrounds in Albania in order to create a nation, alphabet, language and culture.

of different ethnic backgrounds. They would not be divided by religious differences between Muslims,
Catholics and Orthodox, nor by linguistic or culture. The nations politics and national views would
be hostile to the surrounding Balkan states, mostly towards Serbia and Greece.

Teodora Toleva is a true example of how objectively, without prejudice, displays a full picture of a
historical phenomenon that is created. Fortunately, it would be a template for all future researchers,
not only the phenomenon of the emergence of the Albanian nation, but also other, historically
significant, phenomena.

20th Century the Albanian population did not still represent a formed nation. The various groups of
different ethnicities in Albania live isolated; they do not have connections between themselves, except
when fighting. The possibilities for their convergence were practically nonexistent; murders was
common, even for the people from the same clan. There were two basic dialects in the country that
were so different that people could hardly understand each other. There was no unique literary language,
but more than twenty different manners of writing in local dialects. The coefficient of literacy did not
even exceed 2%.

did not have any national awareness, they did not have general interests, they did not express solidarity

material evidence proved that Austro-Hungary with the aid of the Vatican and the Jesuit order was the
most responsible for the creation of the Albanian nation, having 1908 as the crucial year.

⚘The tribes that once inhabited Europe, since the Bronze Age have been tribes of Pelasgian-Illyrian
ethnicity and spoke a common language. According to Henry Smith Williams 1904- "janë Albanians
are the oldest population in Europe" !! Historical records show that the Pelasgians, Illyrians, Thracians,
Dacians, Scythians, Trojans .. were tribes of the same nation and Albanians are their direct descendants.
Because, based on the ancient data and all the ancient philosophers, it turns out that the Greek
civilization was created by the Pelasgian-Illyrians, ie the Arvanites, who are the autochthonous
Albanians of today !! .

When a science like history degenerates into idiocy for Albanians
In the spring, the EU asked the Albanians to change their history books because absolutely nothing is
right. Neither the alleged Illyrian descent, nor the story about the national hero Skenderbeg, also invented
in the communist era, although he is of Serbian origin. There is new research on Prof. Oliver Schmidt, who
was able to see all the old documents in Istanbul and Italy.

It is embarrassing that even today on the website of Prime Minister Salih Berisha, this fictional story with
the Illyrian descent, which was invented in the communist era, is being spread. The wretched state of
inadequate education has just been recognized by the World Bank. This applies to all areas, especially
simple building such as technology.

These historical falsifications were quite common everywhere in the Balkans, even under the Nazi era, but
in Albania there is now a pathological negative development in education and also in history, which only
astonishes one. There are thousands of Youtube videos where this alleged parentage is glorified.

Historians and philologists defend the myth of the Illyrian descent of the Albanians.

Many historical treatises and humanities studies published in Albania are characterized by an intellectual
rigidity and hostility to discourse. This is the conclusion of a conference on “Walking the tightrope between
science, politics and ideology: The Albanian humanities and modern German research on Albania,” which
took place in Tirana at the end of November with the support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
Anachronistic official interpretations of history and clichéd language regulations in Albanian publications often
sound like something out of the moth box of the totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century, lamented
scientists and participants at the conference. These came from Germany, Switzerland and Austria, but many
young researchers from Albania were also involved.

Against this background, the organizers of the conference tried to offer a platform for the exchange of views
between young Albanian scientists and researchers abroad. The focus was on the recent history of the
country, Albanian historical linguistics and the role of national myths of origin and their instrumentalization
through science and politics.

Participants of the conference complain about a lack of processing
An example of this is the leadership cult of the communist dictator Enver Hoxha, which resembled that of
the Soviet dictator Josef Stalin. The Zurich historian Daniel Ursprung and his Albanian colleague Artan Puto
discovered that systems based on tyranny like communism can only survive if they gain legitimacy from
the population.
But since the communists sought a conscious break with the existing society and wanted to establish a
new order, they had to justify their rule charismatically and prove that the communist leaders had
extraordinary skills.
Coming to terms with communism is missing
Origin lamented the “failure to come to terms with the communist past.” So there is still no serious Hoxha
biography and not even any noteworthy literature about the dictator. This is a paradox because he "had his
country under control like no other for forty years."
The statues support - the ideological legacy remains in the mind

The Albanian-born Berlin scientist Arolda Elbasani and her Polish colleague Artur Lipinski explained this lack
of critical historiography with the lack of civil society traditions. The elites that came to power after the fall of
the Berlin Wall were said to be “slaves of the past” through their cooperation with the communist system.
Therefore, there is hardly any interest in an explanation.
Researcher in the service of ideology
The thesis that the Albanians are descendants of the ancient Illyrians is accepted uncritically in linguistics and
history, although it is scientifically not tenable, according to the Bonn scientist Stefan Georg. Also in Kosovo
and among the Albanians in Macedonia it occupies a “central position” in popular and scientific publications.
This myth, which was built up by nationalist and communist ideologues in the 20th century, serves to
consolidate a self-image of the Albanians as a defensive and ancestral people firmly rooted in the region.
In truth, however, the myth is just as false as the thesis that today's Germans descended in a straight line
from Arminuis, also known as Hermann the Cheruscan, says Georg. In fact, the Middle High German epic, for
example, is almost entirely derived from French models in terms of form and subject matter.
Georg described it as "bad" that even twenty years after the end of communism, Albanian science still refuses
to throw "cherished ideas" overboard and continues to use them to supply nationalists with "ammunition for
the ideological struggle against others" .

From June 11th to 13th, a conference on "The Role of Myths in History and Development in Albania" took place
at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies. It happened to happen at the same time as the first UN
troops marched into Kosovo. The function, formation and instrumentalization of myths in Albania in a historical
and socio-political context thus turned out to be highly topical in terms of politics. The violence legitimizing
effect of the Kosovar myths in the mutually exclusive territorial claim (the medieval battle on the blackbird field
for the Serbian side and the "counter myth" of the original ancestry of Illyrian-Dardanian settlers on the Albanian
side) is currently becoming known to the international community on a daily basis with the discovery of violent
attacks in Kosovo demonstrated.

Albanians currently inhabit Serbian historic (ancient and medieval) lands, while they believe that Serbs
have "stolen their lands", their painted black eagle comes from the Serbian two-headed white eagle, used
by Serbian regional ruler Djuradj Kastriot (whose both parents were Orthodox SERBS), his Islamised name
was Skenderbeg, he ruled the territory of today's Albania, his father and brother were buried in Serbian
Orthodox Monastery called Hilandar. We still preserved his letter written in Serbian Cyrillic alphabet. The
present Albanian city of Skodra (originally in Serbian SKADAR), was in medieval time an OFFICIAL
SERBIAN CAPITAL CITY FOR MORE THAN 7 CENTURIES! Albanian genetics and language confirm that
majority of them have nothing to do with European soil, two dominant Y-chromosome haplogroups are
"E" (dominant in North Africa and Middle East) and "J" (dominant in Asian Minor, Caucasus and Middle
East). Around 40% of male Albanians do have European origin, those with haplogrups "I", "R1A" (former
Serbs) and "R1B" (Celtic from Italy). The whole of present day Albania is full of SLAVIC TOPONYMES AND
HYDRONYMES, some are preserved in original names some are a little bit distorted but still understandable
to all Slavs especially Serbs. Even in ancient times the place called "SERVI" was recorded near the city of
Skadar.
